Let's call it an exercise. Premise: I found a place in my head where I could communicate with God. He has allowed me to ask questions. So poster one asks a question - poster two then answers what he or she thinks God might say. Then poster two asks a question. May be an interesting exercise. I'll begin. Example: Poster: God, why is our best only filthy rags to you? God: Think of a photographic image - your right is my left; your up my down. The things you think are really cool, are just the opposite. Daniel: God, I know a lot of jokers will use this thread to sow the seeds of discord. How will you strengthen your devoted to deal with them?
i like the premise, im kinda hesitant, but i'll "exercise" along... G: See, but ignore the ignorance. They [the jokers] do not know. Take it with a kind heart, actions are louder than the loudest voice. If they desire the Truth, they will hear it, but if they choose to be deaf, they will be deaf. Talk to them, not at them. eh, its the best i got...and i dont have a question to ask, so either someon can post one for me, or just answer steffan's...
You did well... It was almost the exact answer I had in mind when I read his question (maybe in slightly different words), but you already answered it. The Holy Spirit is with you! Here is my question. What is the purpose in allowing us to wait for our answers to prayers? Rather, why is it that some prayers that desparately need answers as soon as possible go unanswered for years, or even decades?
Because you don't actually need an answer to the question as bad as you think you do. God will answer when the time is right. Your own judgement is clouded if you believe that you desperately need something that God does not bring you. My question is this: Why do you ask God for something when God already provides everything you need? edited to add: Eyes bigger than your stomach?
G: I put it in my book that you should pray without ceasing. (I have this little thing about rules.) Q: Where is the Ark of the Covenant?
Christian God speaking, would probably say: It hath been located in Jerusalem, in the Temple, but foolish people hath buildeth a place of idol worship therein. ^ *cough**cough*my horrible Elizabithian English (P.S: Sorry people of Allah, I put "Christian God" there for a reason..^^; ) Q: Are we in the End of Days? BTW: Holy Spirit just answered me that question, but you have a go!
G: Hello RYU, glad you made it through my storm. No - you'll not have to worry til America folds. Q: Whatever happened to the Unicorn?
G: Well, after Lalo the limner painted and breathed life into it, the vulgar unicorn rampaged through the streets of Sanctuary. It was the living embodiment of the vile deeds of that city, often called the arsehole of the Rankan Empire. Somehow, the unicorn was destroyed, via some unselfish act of love.. P.S. We have top men working on it right now.... (the ark, that is..). Q: Why is it that questions are asked?
G: Because it is through asking questions of yourselves and others that you attain knowledge about yourselves and the world you live in. No one person on this planet has all of the answers (aside from My Son, Jesus), and I designed it that way so that you would fellowship peacefully with one another and develop relationships, while also developing your minds and expanding the minds of others. Q: Will those who have not heard the message of Christ be saved? I'm not asking about those who have heard and not chosen, but rather, people like indigenous tribes who have not been touched by missionaries.
God: Questions are an invitation to truth, a request for truth to appear, to make it's presence known, to the questioner. Whether the questioner recognizes truth or not depends on what he or she is prepared to perceive. Q: With regards to the nature and presence of God, why is it not obvious to everyone?
G: Actually, I get a lot of really dumb questions, but I don't mind - you kids are so amusing. I'm just glad you are asking. Ask, and eventually you'll get the point - that is, if you ask for the point. Q: What is the point?
To please me, for I created you and you are my ant farm thingy to toss about and do with what I please for I am God you mortal fools Q- Why have you cursed me with these human emotions?
Human emotions are also a blessing. You have them for the same reasons you have vision, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and . . . well, other perceptions, so that you can more fully experience and respond to my reality. Q: Why is dualism such an overwhelming influence on human consciousness? Or rather, why do people believe they must divide reality into opposing halves (Spirit/Matter, Us/Them, Left/Right, etc.) and then adhere to one half at the expense of the other?
People do not realize that I gave them a conscience(sp?) for a reason. Not everything is black and white, people must decide if something is okay to do for themselves sometimes. The dualism is objective. Q-In response to Varunas answer-What is your reality? I was under the impression that reality is subjective.
The ultimate reality is objective. You need to be given much in order to clearly see the objective reality. Consider your accumulated experiences to be the lens with which you focus your mind upon me and my creation. Q- Why do dogs role in stinky stuff?
G: Dogs are like anyone else who finds something they like. Q: What is the truest, most concise definition of love?
