But see, you dont have to be a slave to a drug. Thats when you cross the line from recreational user, to junkie. When a substance affects what you do in your daily life, keeps you from doing others. Thats when it becomes a negative influence in my opinion. Yes, life is misery, but it doesnt have to be a constant throughout all your life. In that case, I shouldnt listen to music. I shouldnt play and love on my dogs. I shouldnt hold intresting conversations with my best friend, and I shouldnt love the people I love so fiercely. they have the same effect as marijuana.
i don't think life is miserable... even when sober.... sure there are painful things, but goddammit there are some fucking awesomethings, too.
i totally agree, life's totally worth the ups and downs. i've been using weed a whole lot to trip on. i take it right before i go to sleep to help me go astral. it takes me in directions i wouldn't normally go and it helps me get used to letting go. so it's a tool... not to mention fun as shit! now i'm hungry....
Funny people get in an automatical personal defense position after reading the first post in this thread. He didn't even say all of 'us stoners' only sit around doing nothing, but only some of his friends did that.
i totally agree that it is very cool to finally meet a couple folks that i can talk to about more than just rolling the next joint or what kinda beer is their fave. it's nice to know that some people in society don't only discuss drugs and alcohol how wasted they got the night before, and how good the drunk girl was that they got laid with the night previously. although i can totally talk about sex for any length of time, that never gets boring to me.
I hear you on enjoying spending time with people who aren't all about getting fucked up. it's kind of refreshing. like -- okay we can spend the whole day together, doing nothing but talking and enjoying eachother's company, without stopping to roll a joint.
