that is wayyy dope, its like crayon styleee. i've been doing tats on myself, but i don't have a gun, just pick and poke. if you are learning to do something like that, i don't care if you're even any good. you can totally give me a tattoo for free. or i'll trade you a t-shirt, i make t-shirts.
I am gonna do one on my foot here soon, I am debating exactly where and what. I have a machine all set up and have been tattooing all sorts of inanimate objects LOL working up the courage to do myself..... Do you live in germany? I will be all over the states this summer LOL I will tattoo you for free =) If you really wanna scribble animal =) I am sure I can do it hehe
way cool, but seriously you just gotta sack up and do your inner ankle or your thigh. these are the easiest places in my experience. i did a band around my ankle and it gets real tricky when you have to do the back of the leg, lol. what kind of inanimate objects can you tattoo and where do you get a gun? i live in boston and i love getting tattooed for free. you should draw a bird and a frog kissing, i would totally get that!
i want to get a tattoo gun, i'd just be tattooing on my own skin. it doesn't hurt that much and i've been doing it since i was a kid. i can make a gun out of a casette player, or a toothbrush, or an RC car which is really cool cuz you can activate it remotely. i'm thinking if I really fuck up I can just get a belt sander and fuck up my skin like an eraser. lol. fake skin, wtf! i guess practice is a good idea.
what makes you think you're gonna do tattoos? can you draw? is there even a place for new artists in the business?
well first of all i have been creating art my whole life, drawing... painting... clothing design... special effects makeup... i have done it all and there is always room in any market for someone who can bring something unique to the table. if there is no room in a shop, i COULD open my own shop, not what I plan on doing but if it came to that point there are always options. but i am not doing this to make $$$$, i am learning this... to prove something to myself, to prove to myself that i can do it, and that i can do it well. i am learning to gain a different canvas to spread my art on............ my own skin if things go well when i get home from Germany I have a shop waiting for an apprenticeship, I spent the majority of the last 6 years there before we moved over the ocean, so I have a lot of exp. with this........ as far as "guns" go, i would never call a machine a gun in front of a tattooist, in my shop at home anyways, they frown on it so i always go with machine, but a lot of tattooists there (they have about 6 or 7 that work off and on) call them irons
where could you go to learn tattoo or body piercing? i am not a good artist so tattooing would not be good for me (although i study art) however i would love to learn how to pierce just so i could learn not for the $.
I would never get something like that, and I'm not sure how I would react if someone showed me such a tattoo.
to each his own jimmy........... I like cutesy quirky a "little bit off" things so this style appealed to me... but I am sure to some people, it just looks like chicken scratch
get a sketch book, and doodle whatever you can in it. make it thick, and lots of of your work. eventually when you think the book justifies you as the artist you are, go to a local tattoo place and see what they think. start from there
To each his own, of course. I know plenty of who would think these tattoos were awesome (girls mostly) but definitely not for me. I guess if you're doing the ink yourself it would be easier than a "normal" tattoo for your first try
I agree. I mean tattoos are personal and everyone has their own desires and styles. Personally I don't like these. That's just cuz I'm into really clean lines...I really love Japanese style tattoos. The only context I think a tattoo like this would be nice is if someone were getting a replica of their kid's drawing or something. That would be sentimental and adorable.
