hehe i finished my tam *grin* its not great i didnt count my stitches too well as i didnt use a pattern i totally made it up (as i always do :S) and its slightly too small so its a bit tight when i wear it but aside from that im pretty darn proud of myself hehe thats it from the side the picture quality is crap cam but its made from a khaki/sandy colour and a nice greyish blue. i dont know if you can see but the band that runs around the side is a mix of both wool bits it goes from sandy on the top to a mix to blue thats it from tha back *smiley* and thats meeee!! (wearing it)
super job wifey! i used to make hella tams...i got so sick of makin them! they are easy to perfect tho...that is awesome for a first go..much better than mine! mwaaaaah
Aww thanks guys Hey arlia, suppermommy, do you have as pattern i could use?? i totally just made it up as i went so i think its not soooo bad. but i think if i knew how many stitches i was supposed to add and when then it would be better Also how do you know how big the rim is?? :S i measured it so it would be about 21inches which is the width around my head, maybe i should have made it slightly bigger cos it wont go over my head easily :S and yea its actually pretty easy to make, i just need to get a bigger crochet hook cos my stitches were so small that along with new year and work it took me a week to finish this!!!
i dont have any patterns, id like to follow some though, allthe tamsiv made iv jsut kinda developed the way i do itby changing the stictches all the time, i usually make mine really big and then srink the stitches once it is wide enough...... anyways theyre looking great, maybe we could swap sometime?
