Tough spot to be in... You'll have to find a mentor that can help with some of that, but at the same time you are going to have to harden yourself and learn to do some of it on your own... Luck!
Mentor is something like a teacher, but more involved with your whole life and much more caring about you... Nothing like a school teacher. They would have similar interests as you, but typically have already made use of them so they can guide you to do the same.
well then yes i need a mentor... but idk anyone with my interests or in my situation... hah... this is hard... i just really want to hit the road and form a band and become famous and start a revolution while tripping on acid as much as possible :<
live in wilderness man, set traps make weapons catch animals, eat grass. ive long toyed with the idea of saying fuck society and just living out in nature and surviving off the land, which actually i will still do if i fuck up and lose all my money in the stock market lol
if you think that surviving on the road isn't going to take hard work, then you're setting yourself up for a rude awakening. if you can't get a license, then get a bicycle.
just hitch it somewhere warm so mother nature doesnt screw you over in the winter while youre trying to keep warm...
I tried that man, living on the road, I went right after I graduated high school cause I thought it was going to be great and all. But it was a lot tougher than I thought. Hey man I'm eighteen, I'm right in your ballpark, and I felt the exact same fucking way. It's not the way to go though, unless you wanna be homeless, which is totally cool and respect. Don't get me wrong, I was happy when I was on the road man, I loved every bit of it, traveling with cool ass people and having adventures every day. That was the way to live. Have you ever seen "Into the Wild"? There's this great quote that Chris writes in his journal at the end of the movie, that "Happiness is best when shared." And as much fun as I had, that was the toughest part, cause I didn't have anyone to share this happiness with. I mean, go for it, if you're heart truely desires it, cause I did and have absolutely no regrets. I just realized that that was not the way to live. God bless you man and good luck out there!
If you go out and live on the road you're not going to be able to do that music thing you want to do... Which desire is the stronger?
ya have to work whatever you do.. being on the road dog does not mean you dont work, you work to feed yourself, ya cant always depend on handouts..ppl who work for their means do not like to give it to slackers who do not want to work.. just saying.. nobody wants to work but ya gotta make it somehow and the freebie days are done gone by.. best find ya something you're good at and work on that. Being a road dog isnt that glamorous when you're cold, tired and hungry.
If you live in Canada, you can try the construction field. Since most workers will go to retirement in the next few years, there will be a lot of job opportunities of which require nothing but endurance and a solid body. If you want to live off the fat of the land, you could always head up north to some small village and work in a farm. Though there are some community (or not) colleges from where you could take hands-on courses on mechanics, coiffure, cuisine etc. There is a lot available, you should have to search, just go talk to the 'guidance adviser' of your high school Peace.
