why? you are not ranked by how many friends you have, we are all friends here. you should be 'friended' based on your merits, dont you think? this is not like bookface, and you are fairly new here. anyone can feel free to add you, adding friends is available to everyone.

if you are not getting enough friend requests to sate you, then you have not shown enough people that you are worthy enough to be friended in that way yet. but really, thats just not how this group rolls (from my own observation, which may be skewed)

people just dont know you well enough yet. friend kind of MEANS friend to me, not ' random acquaintance off the internet that i really dont know at all"

when i first started posting on this site i didnt really give a damn about making friends, i just wanted a place to voice my opinions, but after posting here a while I started thinking some of the people on here were pretty damn cool..and all those people eventually sent me a friend request and now I have an awful lot of friends on here for someone that didn't even intend to make any friends. point being, be patient young grasshopper...post some shit, get to know some people, and friends will come

 

Its not for "popularity" its to get to know interesting people

 

Then post, you don't get to know interesting people by a number.

I have lots of good conversations with people on this site that are not on my friends list, though i would consider them a friend.

but yeah, o.p - friends will find you, it sort of just happens. like meliai, i came here as a way of sourcing my opinion but ended up making friends with plenty of wonderful people.
