i woke up, read that he was making an apearance in my town, and i rode my bike to were he was gonna be. they moved it to a church by i-75 and i continued on for several miles until i got there and waited for 2 hours in the hot sun. the campaign busses approached and both johns got out, walked up to the fence and started shaking hands with people. AND I GOT TO SHAKE JOHN KERRY'S HAND.
He's just a human, just another person...what's the big deal? I have met and talked to every president of Israel and Honduras for the last 10 years, it's not a big deal...
Cool man, its always nice to meet people that you may vote for or may lead a nation. Just don't put him on a pedestal he human like anyone else. But its good at your age to show interest in such things.
I just can't get over the fact that some people view him as being some sort of hero or something. I don't see how people can get so excited over this stuff. But, I suppose it would be cool to shake his hand, simply for the fact that he might be the next president. It will give you a story to tell your kids someday, if life on earth is even still around by then.
Me, I just don't understand how someone could meet Kerry, see him with his own eyes, and shake his hand, and not then gouge out his own eyes and hack off his own hand. :$ I think the man is shit. Not "the shit." Just shit. Blue skies, -Jeffrey
Hey peaceful why do spout so much hate. Explain why you do not like kerry. I have no idea why you chose that handle? Most of you posts are full of anger and hate.
I don't think I want to shake hands with anyone running for President. They'd have to chase me, knock me to the ground and force their hand into mine. Almost like being violated. Besides you don't know where their hands have been.
Cool, i wouldnt have waited two hours in the sun just to shake his hand though. Maybe if I got to eat dinner with him, and he was paying.
well, there was a waist high fence in the way and secret service guys all around and i know that hes just the lesser of two evils, but hes the best chance we have of getting rid of dubya
I shook hands with Al Gore 4 years ago. While I was standing there, in line, he spotted an old college friend. He walked across the barrier and they had a conversation. I though he had a great personality when he was away from the cameras. They chided names of old friends and laughed a lot. It was a cool experience to see what he was really like.
