We sort of started talking again after 4 years of not seeing each other (He searched for me on myspace), and I havnt had sex with anyone in 2 years, but this weekend, It just happened. We were both reminiscing on old times, and eventually one thing lead to another...He was still a perfect gentleman afterwards as he was before, opening the car door, took me to dinner, etc...

He knows how conservative I am when it comes to sleeping with someone im not dating. In fact, he knows he is the only person I have slept with whom im not dating (And I've only had 2 sex partners in my life; Him and my ex). Did I completely just screw up any future chance for a relationship (Since i already slept with him) or is there any way I can dig myself out of this hole I've made.

lol, no...Dinner before. It wasnt planned out. We were supposed to go dancing, and then decided not to. We Walked to the beach around midnight and the cops told us to leave, so when we got to where we were staying, things just happened...

    I should have said .....

Jesus christ. Now that IS a gentleman.

    ..... considering the circumstances.

Anyway, does that change your response in anyway?

I didnt know whether or not you were being sarcastic.
I forgot to mention, he did take me out to lunch after we went to the beach the next morning. I live almost 2 hours away, so we stayed in a hotel together. It was kind of inevitable, after all those old feelings came up.

To the other person who replied, why or how do you know I didnt ruin it?

I'm driving down again next weekend for a concert, and I will most likely end up seeing him. I don't know what to do. I don't want to turn into the friends with benefits. I want something real. Like what we had when we were younger. (I am now 19 and he is 22)

well, nicer people generally look for the good in people, especially people they think fondly of
you are worrying he will think the worst, when that is prolly the last thign he would do

and really, if you want a relationship, TELL HIM
don't be too too forward about, talk about how you miss being with him, see what he says, maybe bring up some good times you had while dating..

When a little more time goes by, i will do that.

I just don't want to scare him off. I kind of want to see if he comes after me first.
We did have some talks about the good times we had. We were very honest with each other, and it was one of the most amazing "heart to hearts" we ever had, as corny as that sounds, haha.

He is just so mysterious. He's always been. He always likes to keep you guessing. I guess that's what I like about him. He's the only guy who's ever kept me on my toes like that.

Thanks guys. i'm a little more hopeful now.

Should I try to avoid us sleeping together this weekend, so It doesnt become a habit?

yeah, I would definitely avoid letting that happen again, it could give him the wrong idea about what you want

I sincerely find honesty to be the best policy
don't be so afraid to ask him, if you two want to be a flourishing couple, you're going to have to learn to talk about anything together :)

Well... I do not think that sex ruins a future relationship. I have never been in this situation, but if he is a good guy, and you guys hit it off, things should work out. And hey if you are conservative, and slept with him, there must be something!

I know this thread is kind of old, but I think you are lucky. I would love to run into my first love and get to have sex with her. You got to do something I have wanted to do for 25 years. Oh, I am still waiting too
