this is my second time. my first time was last year and i used the backcombing method. after a little i started using regular shampoo and it made my dreads get all gray and made the center of my dreads dusty and mildewy. this time i am starting my dreads naturally and will be using dr bronners peppermint soap. im not combing them, there just doing whatever they want. with the exception of me pulling them apart when they get to close...haha heres some pics! hopefully they will be wonderful. and also im not dreading my bangs. im letting them grow. they made a great recovery for me when my head was shaved in the back when my sister cut them out last year
i will always have a memory of what i looked like with a shaved head and bangs... i had to get my passport pic takn a few days after it. oh what a mess.
aw, you're cute. I'm also keeping my bangs and I'm not locing the ends. I personally really like the wispy look. Mine are still less than a month old and I'm really enjoying the newbie stages.
i was in a towel. i got some hanging out there, no biggie. yeah i love the baby dreads for the first couple of months. they so little and then BOOM they get thicker and bigger.
Nice nudie pics! Can wait to see the hair all dreaded up. Welcome, and read around a LOT. It will answer most of your questions just by reading.
i missed my old ones so much, i decided to start them up again. one thing i liked about not having dreads was that i could run my hands through them. but i think my dreads will be even awesomer this time.
ahh i decided to wait to start them a different time. i use dr bonners but i get shit in my hair like fuzzies and they are stuck inside the knotted hair. ill wait i guess to start them later in life
like a week or two ago i found fuzzies in my hair from my hat. i was pissed. it only took a couple of minutes and a mirror to get them out though. since i got rid of the hat i haven't had that problem though, so fuzzies shouldn't be getting in your hair out of nowhere. try to find the source if there is one.
