    pfff, amateurs.

When you get knocked down and can't even walk because of the shaking and it lasts for a minute or more, THEN you will have experienced an earthquake.:2thumbsup:

Odd that they would be on the east coast though

OK, now I'm seeing it on Fox...wondered if they were full of shit and just saying it to hinder the Obama administration.

It hit NYC and went as far up as RI...almost hit me! :O

that link orison put up said a 5.9, that's a pretty good shake. How many miles are you from it in Philli anyway? It said it was only 1 kilometer deep, pretty shallow. Usually deeper ones are felt further away.

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake centred in Virginia rattled the East Coast Tuesday afternoon, shaking buildings in cities as far north Toronto.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was about six kilometres deep, centred northwest of Richmond, in Mineral, Va.
In response to the quake, parts of the Pentagon, the White House and the Capital buildings were evacuated in Washington.
U.S. President Barack Obama is in Martha's Vineyard, Mass. and was reported to have felt the earthquake there.

Not if the first shake was just a fore-shock. Depends on which one is bigger.
