and i only know one person who ever has gone skydiving and it was a kid back in highschool who did it when he just turned 18... course you gotta go through lots of training to jump outta a plane alone.. but damn it would be fun to just run out the back of a plane and back flip into 14,000feet of air. it sounds heavenly.
They asked me while signing up for the army if I wanted to be airborne, but I said "Why jump out of a perfectly fine aeroplane?" Turns out the training really fucks up the knees so I made the right decision.
I would do it but it freaks me out so I'd have to be pushed into it. One of my exes went awhile back, but I was working so couldn't go anyway.
i feel like there are more safety regulations that skydiving companies are forced to follow... bungee jumping could just be any dude with a big elastic and a helmet.
I never did understand this obsession some people get about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane...
i've always wanted to do it but then i found out how fucked up my knees are so now theres no way i could ever do it without seriously injuring myself
I would love to do skydiving and bungee jumping. The feeling must be exhilarating. Such an adrenaline rush..
though i no nothing about regulations of skydiving it wouldn't surprise me if their were more... it seems and feels like their are more regulations for everything on this earth now... ehhh?
It's a matter of trusting equipment not to fail and trusting another person to pack your chute correctly. No thanks.
http://www.dropzone.com/fatalities/ doesn't seem more dangerous than driving on some city freeways...its the heights that i think gets a lot of people.. although it would suck to pull your chute too late and land in telepohone wires..
i wouldnt call it skydiving. its more like jumping off the porch deck with an patio umbrella.. +50lbs of shat.
I didn't call it that. Plus it's dark .... so you can't see the flowers from the door 300 ft below you.
A six hour course to solo jump, not so much training really. It's a blast. It's gorgeous, you can see the whole world for like 70 miles. It doesn't really seem extreme at all either. Once all that adrenelin kicks in your super relaxed. The first time I went some strange girl who was doing her instructor certification kissed me and hopped out the plane.
