i want a 'non-cheesy' mushroom tattoo!

i just love mushrooms; i really love mushrooms - all kinds. i am looking to get some small kind of mushroom tattoo somewhere - i've already got a rather large tattoo above my right ankle.
i'm thinking maybe the inside of my left foot.
i realize that everyone has different opinions on this, but i'm seeking yours:
a) do you think i'll be 'misjudged' for having a tattoo that could imply that i enjoy intoxication?
b) i need a spot that's not all too obvious, in case the above is a problem, or in case it needs to be hidden
c) anyone have any cute ideas for a not tacky mushroom? by this, i mean that i don't want it to look like a 'typical' psycilbin mushroom, or a smurf one.
i don't know. i'm just brainstorming!
oh - to add insult to injury - my other, quite large tattoo happens to look a lot like a pot plant! (but it's not really)

just start sketchin, and maybe you'll find something that doesnt look lame and fits what you have in your head. as for the location, thighs, back, ribs are all areas that are usually covered. i have both of my thighs tattooed and nobody ever notices them, even when i wear shorts.

 

imo I think that a mushrooms tatoo is something that you may not want later in your life. Then again, I don't know you..

You'll be "misjudged" just for having a tattoo. The fact that its a mushroom will make it even more common. Its really a personal choice whether you want to be judged one way or another. I say if you like it, fuck anyone too close minded to come ask you about it.

The foot sounds like a good place.

Ive found some really neat old botany text books that have cool sketches of plants in them. Im sure you could find one of mushrooms that would make a good tattoo.

i agree, you will most likely be judged for it but if its something thats important to you then o well. to quote dr. seuse "be who you are cause those who mind dont matter and those who matter dont mind".
the spot depends on where you want it, just look at youself dressed how you are most of the time and pick your favorite place thats coverd
i understand this one, i love mushrooms too. iv yet to partake in the consumotion of them and the regualuar ones that i have eaten taste like shit but i love the way they look. but just look around sketch yourself and see if you can find something you like. if so dont worry if you think its overdone, if you like it you like it and thats what matters.

oooo, thats not a bad idea actualy.i might have to look into that. i think a mushroom is a great idea though, lol im wearing a necklace with one right now! i just got it, i had another one but a friend "borowed" it lol.

 

the botany book suggestion is a great one. yeah, i mostly don't care, but i do need to feel like a secure grown up eventually. plus i'm a catholic school teacher and need to be couth.

 

ah, understood. do you have any friends who are artists? i know some ppl who draw mushrooms and what not that are really cool. plus having someone you know come up with it would make it more special i think. im planing on getting a charecter a friend draws, im trying to get her to do it for me but she doesn't want to actualy do the tattoo.
