the term "skinhead" has a negative connotation. i somehow don't think this is what you meant. do you mean you had your head shaved? first, you need to check out the thread called "read this"
skinhead =/= neonazi they aren't bad, it's just a movement (like hippies or emos, etc) my cousin is a skinhead and when he lets his hair grow a little bit it grows thick and tight maybe you should wait until it gets longer (perhaps 5" or 6") so it can form knots
i never said its exact meaning, just that it has a negative connotation and that i think he meant he had his head shaved.
shaved head yep thats what i meen sorry iv wanted dreads in the past but never liked my hair but now im gooer do it so what is the shortest hair lenth for dreads thanks
oh jesus christ, go check the "read this" thread. do us that courtesy before we answer the same questions over and over again.
If you've been shaving your head for 5 years, you have to grow your hair for 5 years before you can have dredz mang. Them's the rules.
4" is the hair length, I would say, absolute minimum, and you'll probably need to use rubber bands to keep the roots together, speaking from experience
Rubber bands and dreads have nothing to do with each other, if you want to grow locks you need to let your hair go (to a greater or lesser extent), then you'll actually see progress.
DON'T EVER USE RUBBER BANDS. Like if I'm honest I love Jimbo but HE IS WRONG. AARGH. From experience, they are at BEST completely unnecessary and at worst an absolute bugger to remove (and primary reason for me cutting last time).
using rubber bands goes against common sense and physics. if you bind a rope, it will not knot up. if you bind your hair witha rubber band, it will not knot up. not knot!
yeah we've seen it and we're not convinced. not trying to be rude, but i don't know anyone with years worth of locks that will agree with your stance on rubber bands.
