I have not been following that thread, and I have already waded through more than ten pages without finding the original post explaining the reason as to why you are moving. Could you just post it here?

Yes, I am being forced to move. My building was sold, and the new owners are going to completely renovate it -inside and out.

This means that everyone will have to stay at a hotel during the renovation process

We've been told it should not take longer than a month, but I think this is only wishful thinking.

I also have too many books that are gathering dust. Plus I still have at least 400 movies on videotape, and a lot of other crap that I should have tossed in the trash ages ago.
Everything will have to be put in storage until we're allowed to return to our new and improved apartments.

The only good part of this ridiculous story is that the new owners are paying storage fees and the rent for the hotel room I'll be staying at. I guess I should think of this as a very strange vacation

Now if I can only manage to get off my ass, and get everything (including myself) ready to go...

P.S. Totally shocking update! I have now learned I will be forced to leave my apt. for 2 months!? Those sneaky little bastards! I need more boxes!! :willy_nilly:
