I think it would be so cool if people started opening up boutques for doing henna! They have body piercing and tattoo parlours, and hair/nail salons, so why not henna? If they don't already have them, someone should definitely start. By the way, generally henna is that terra-cotta colour. Does anyone know if you can get it in black or darker brown? Beautiful henna on feet. Beautiful henna on hands.
I'm pretty sure I saw a lot of that in Hawaii when I lived there. They even had a Henna alternative in some of the tattoo parlors I went to frequently. There was also a place called polynesian cultural center on the North Shore where you could go to learn about the islanders of the south pacific and do all these cool activities that made you feel like a tribal member like poi pounding, drumming, and riding in one of their cool little canoe thingies. Those guys had Henna done on their faces for show, wait, I might even have a picture hang on
there is black henna, but from what I hear it's very dangerous, something about a chemical. The way you mix your henna, the stronger the tea or coffee you use the darker it gets. Also, if you apply lemon juice the first day it darkens. The darkest powder I ever made was with VERY strong black tea and a ton of mehendi oil, it stained my fingertips for 3 weeks, it was great stuff.
oh i love that place! it's so much fun... my stepdad fell in the water after a performance lol, he dropped a slipper in there and just fell in in front of everybody
