And once you have chosen that number nothing could change it,

How old would you be when you died?

I think my number would be 80. I don't know why I would pick that number it just sounds like it isn't to long or to short.

  2. I really don't know! I think at 18 I would have chosen a relatively low figure in the mistaken belief that:

1 life wasn't worth living after a certain age

2 I really thought then that my crazy relationship with all things chemical would have done for me at an early age.

Now at 58, full of life and still up for anything and with a father 90 years old still in full control of all his faculties, a four by four all terrain vehicle(well just about in control of that ;) ) and a wicked sense of humour I have totally reavaluated what ithink about all things age related including death. :D

I'd be happy to get to 60.But when I get to 60 I'll probably want another 20 years...so...I have thought about this before.

You're pretty clueless at 18 to make that kind of choice. I'm not bashing 18 year olds by saying this either. There's just not enough life experience yet for this type of decision. Perhaps any age would not be able to properly form this decision... There're too many variables.

At 18 I would have figured 80-85 maybe even older. Now I'm sitting here at 55 with arthritis in most of the joints in my body, some weird muscle pain/fatigue shit going on, constant chronic pain no matter what I do. Diet and medical doesn't help and the stupid gooberment won't allow MMJ where I live... and I would be locked into some obscure number based on what I thought life was all about when I was a kid? Fuck that shit...

    Ty,Sorry about your health issues.

I know it is hard question to answer because at 18 you do not know what you health will be like or if this will be a place you want to live a long life. What if you get thrown into prison for life and chose to live to 120, what if you had the best health and perfect life but only choose to live until 35. I know it is a hard question and I started to pick a younger age for it but felt like 18 was a better choice.

    40. No reason really, it's just around about when the body starts to decline, and judging by most of the people I've met, the mind too.

I wouldn't want to pick unless I could pick for my girl, too.

As long as she's alive, I want to be here.

That's why I said "Perhaps any age would not be able to properly form this decision... There're too many variables. "

That all depends. If at 18, I could have seen into the future, I would have chosen to die at 18. If I couldn't see it, I'd probably have chosen to live till around 40...

As a teenager me and one of my best girlfriends made an agreement that if we lived to be 90, we'd use drugs recklessly and without fear of consequences.

So since I already had it in my head to party with my girl, I wouldn't have gone any lower than 91
