Makes no sense whatsoever. There are no synonyms for unreality. What is not real does not exist.

lol What is the "non-physical" thedope? No-one knows. Funny that! I'm sure a person like you could come up with a few synonyms for unreality a faithful one such as myself could verify for you! ;-D

You are bright, he said he didn't know. He specifically mentioned the supernatural and telekenetic type events. As you know supernatural is not one of my claims. Is it possible to affect physical systems with the use of the mind alone. Certainly the thoughts we entertain have a profound effect on our physical state as our choices choreograph our movements.

You already tried and you couldn't. God exists you say but not for you. I say what is not real does not exist. Potential is not succinctly physical in time. Potential generally refers to a currently unrealized ability.

    Because it is itself physical

LOL! Forget 'god', which, besides the furrows of babies brows, is sometimes to be found in sound, in tongues! Don't forget those! But we're dealing with the "non-physical" now!
    :-D

Which potential isn't physical? You still have an idea that something is "non-physical"? We'll have to exercise you!

lol No excuse. The mind is physical. This is where you throw your dictionary at me. :-D

Exactly! And I note you're not saying "it" does. lol

Oh, that one, sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me. Must be my atheism. Which one is that again?

The mind is naturally abstract. Your answer absent your excuse is yes.

Did I? I said potential is not succinctly physical in time.

Life expectancy is an example. We have the potential to live so many years but that potential may not prove to be a physical fact.

Who cares? And what excuse? The mind is nevertheless physical. And you? You are anti-physical?! This is funny. :-D

True. You're trying to say it another way. And failing just as badly in having it hold true. lol

So what? The potential is potential nonetheless. It is physical. You see realization in terms of closure, rather than an ongoing opening. When's your birthday? I should get you something! lol

Gravity and intent are the same. Who is anti physical now?

Evidently potential does not hold to be a physical fact.

The time of my birth is ongoing. I don't celebrate birthdays as term of closure.

No-one. If you intend to be grave, that's your problem, or pleasure, or whatever. ( Don't worry everone, thedope's not out of his mind, he's just trying to be poetic! If only we were all willing to try on that old eccentricity! )

LOL Whoever said you had potential to realize non-physicality?!

Do you celebrate them at all? :-D

There's another possibility. It's called the Perennial Philosophy (See Aldous Huxley's book by the same name) which regards each of the world’s religious traditions as sharing a glimmer of universal truth, along with much nonsense. By studying religion in its comparative and historical context, we have the opportunity to sift the wheat from the chaff. And BTYW, since you are also human, it's quite likely that you also hold beliefs that you either acquired in childhood or are just a "fuzzy" feelings that you have. I won't give you credit for having a rational basis for them, since you won't allow that for others.

You haven't produced one shred of "verifiable evidence" to support you various sweeping generalizations. Until you do, I think you should drop the term.

i don't see how a contradiction in human understanding can cause anything to exist or not exist. the one thing it DOES cause to not exist, is the validity of that understanding.
an understanding, unlikely ever to have had anything to do with its subject anyway.
