    ...what would you do?

Please keep debates on weather or not there will be a draft outta here - go to the "America Attacks!" thread and discuss it there. Please.

At the moment I'm torn between going to Ireland and hanging with my kin up there, or sticking around the states, burning draft cards and protesting. One's more safe, but one's more interesting...

    Protesting, without a doubt.

Even if it meant jail time. There's no way in hell I'd fight in this, or any, war.

Well, if my number was called, I'd serve my time in jail. Sorry I'm just not a soldier

I'm going to tell them about my being bi. They hate gay people. I guess we're unAmerican.

Why would you pointlessly protest and get yourself shot? Is it really that big of a deal to you? Damn....that's not interesting, it's ignorance. Grow up.

Yeah... I'd just say that I was gay...

Well, I do have this piece of shit toe that grows too far to the right on my right foot. I could probably get out with that. Doctors say they've never seen a condition like it and it's turned at the foot - not at the hip as usual. It's sort of the opposite of being pigeon toed... hahahaa... I used to call it "Penguin footed'...

I am not even signing up with the Selective Service System, I'd rather go to jail.... so if there was a draft, I'd either go to jail, hide out somewhere in America, or go to Canada or Germany or some other country where i have relatives in. Probably Germany.... not that far from Amsterdam:H

if I were you, I would go to another country, and start a movement from this country, becoz it's useless to go to jail.

    isn't it!?

I'd choose jail instead of war, first i'd buy up a whole lot of weed, and have a big anti-war protest somewhere a lot of people can see, eventually the cops would come.

I would go to canada with a bunch of my friends where we could pull all our money together and find a place for all of us to stay...theres no way I could get to Europe.
there's no way I would stay in this country...and if i absolutely had to stay I would protest and probly end up in jail.

While they may still draft you even if you say you're gay....you could always come on to your commanding officer.

Pentagon figures show that 1,145 people were forced to leave the armed services in 1998 under provisions of the Military Homosexual Conduct Policy, as it formally is known, compared to 617 in 1994, when the policy started. The policy allows gays to serve, but continues a ban on homosexual acts and requires gays to keep their sexual orientation private. It also requires the military not to ask servicemen about their sexual orientation.

Currently they have taken the question about "homosexual tendencies off the paperwork you fill out.

I may invite some of you to come here...if you'd be willing to help around the homestead.....

this concerns me too ...my son is 21.
