    define always
i knew a giorl kaya the tie dyah who always wire a wrap aeound her dreads the ends that hungf out dreaded fine the part infder the wrap never dreaded so she basicly had loose hair with big ol balls on the ends
i think with wraps and hats al;ways should be defined as alotta the time, but they should also get time to be loose and move freely

if always meant always the result would most likely be 1 masssive knot

i personalyu only wtap mine up or put em in a hat when its too damn hot to have em down

do you mean wrap your hair up in a headbandish kind of headwrap?

or are you talking about wrapping individual chunks of hair to encourage it to dread?

the first i think would be counterproductive, as the two previous posters mentioned. the second, i have found beneficial.

Naw man bobos aren't lookin for ways to speed up their dreading process :)
i think they wear headwraps to show respect to Jah, it's said that it "hides the power of self", the power that the locks hold.

dont individual dread wraps promote fungacidal growth? Or do you have to wrap and unwrap everytime you wash your hair?

Yeah, alot of Rastafarians hid their dreads from other people seing them, not sure why. It's probably only the more hardcore(for lack of a better word) ones

if you want to speed it up, put them in the microwave. the oven takes too long.

tams or headwraps do help speed things up but like i said should seek to keep a ballance between time wrapped up and time flyin free
