If you could go back in time, back to any decade or event, where would you go?

for me i would have to say Woodstock, then it would have to be The Doors 1969 Miami concert. Man that would have been so fun....

    how about you guys?

Why can't we travel forward in time? I wanna meet me like when I am 80. So I can see how many tattoos I will have, and stuff like that. Then I could regail me with tales about what I have done in my future's past... That'd be pretty awesome...

But if it has to be past, probably to the mid 60's... Then I could enjoy the 60's on up. Oh, and warn everyone about tricky dick.

For the longest time, especially during the tougher parts of my life, I've had this reaccuring dream that all of my life has actually been a dream in itself that I dreamt while falling asleep at kindergarten one day. I'm feeling like that again, so waking up in kindergarten would be nice.

One of my recurring fears is that my life to this point isn't really real, but that I am actually in a comatose state in a hospital surrounded by loved ones... Wouldn't that be freaky?

I've been there (was unconscious for sometime and woke up with a doctor jabbing me with needles and stitching & stapling my head back together), but no family was around.

A friend of mine was stuck/broke down in the middle of nowhere (closest shelter was a McDonald's miles away) without a ride around midnight, Nov. 30th of last year, so I picked them up and gave them a ride home because it was freezing cold out at the time. I ended up taking her to her boyfriend's house and another friend of ours was there. I also picked up some herbage and then made my way home around 1am. I'd worked that day (doing HVAC troubleshooting/installing) and went to school on four hours of sleep, so I passed out at the wheel and the car went a few hundred yards into the woods, off of US highway 17, and hit a tree... right on Yorktown Battlefield (where the revolutionary war ended).

The car was towed an hour away and was totaled. One of my best friends/neighbors died a month to the day, the previous year in the same make/model car.. damn Toyota s)... and the herb was locked in the glovebox. So, the lock wouldn't unlock when I went to go claim all of my things/keys that were still lodged in the ignition and go through the car at the junkyard. Finally busted the dashboard apart to get it out. I still don't understand how I lived through the accident... I couldn't open doors and none of the lights were working since they'd all been blown in the crash, so I had to fold the backseat down and climb through the trunk. The airbags didn't deploy all the way and I got a cerebral contusion (bruised brain) and some nerve damage from whipping back and smacking my head on an impact beam, which also split my head a bit... lost a pint or so of blood, so I was pretty fucked over and weak for awhile, then they gave me a bunch of pain meds, which I normally would be against taking. That accident really messed me up.

Now I drive a VW Jetta (which is just a giant airbag/poor man's BMW, on wheels) :D instead of that damn yota. Had to defend myself in court against a reckless driving charge, though there was no proof I was driving recklessly, but the officer said I looked tired and stressed... and the judge was my neighbor's son, so he asked me to show him all my injuries and let me off with improper driving/fine/warning. At least we do have some good judges around here... I probably would have been more pissed if he just let me off because we lived on the same street.

Wow man, that really sucks... Did you suffer any permenant damage as a result? I actually had a really bad accident a few months ago too.

I used to drive fast. REALLY fast. There is a fairly curvy highway on the way to town/work which is about a 20 mile drive or so. The cops NEVER go on that road, and I used to drive that road at an average of about 80-90 MPH, and usually climaxed about 110 (done 120 a few times, but that is where the governor chip in my Grand Am cut out). Well, on the way home from work one night, I was going 75 around a curve that was a 35 zone (just the curve was a 35 zone, blind spot, bad area for a curve kinda deal). I had taken this same curve at 80+ before, however, this time I was dangerously close to a car (I can't remember if he had gone into my lane a bit, or if I was in theirs. I would guess we were both too close to the other lane though). Well, I swerved a bit to avoid hitting them, but I must've jerked the wheel to hard for the speed, because I started skidding sideways, then hit a culvert, went airbourne, and when I hit the ground my car rolled about 4 times. I don't know how, but I got out with just a couple bumps and bruises (maybe a slight concussion, not sure). Thank God I was okay...

The other person didn't even know what happened I guess. I was the only one involved. The cop that responded was more worried about how I had previously filed a complaint on him than he was about what happened. I had a lengthy arguement about responsibility, manhood, and being a respectable individual. This distracted him from the fact that I was going 40MPH over the speed limit, so with the exception of not having a car, I got off scott-free (if he did his job, I would have undoubtedly had a court date, because I had commited several moving violations).

The 80s - I've always had a secret desire for the "Flock of Seagulls" haircut. Without looking like an ass, anyway (relative to everybody else).

Yeah, I've always felt Kentucky had the worst drivers.

    St. Louis is a laughingstock...

    As is DC.
