I have a list somewhere, I can only remember Hip Hop Clothing, because I saw it on a sign and thought it was funny. I also think the names of noteworthy but minor female characters in old books can work well.
I had bands and they all had names before I showed up so I couldn't make an influence on it...First one was called Akt (yeah, I know, pretty unoriginal), the second didn't have a name and the third was Istok (East) because it was fitting to the music we were playing....
i don't think it really matters any more what you would call it. i think i've seen just about every possible combination of words in any language, with a few made up ones thrown in for good measure, used as names for bands. yes, i'd probably call it something obscure. i might even CALL it "something obscure", hell why not. you know what i'd do, i mean i've had names for bands i would have used in the past, but right now, in today's context, i'd gather all the band members arround a ouji board, blidfolded, and have, well the sound person would be part of the band too, but someone like that, write down whatever strainge combination of numbers and letters that came up with, or roll playing dice and look up tables or something, and then consult on how to turn that sequence into something pronouncable. that's one possibility. of if there were, you know, things that inspired us, situations, things that happened, that ment something collectively to the bunch of us, or different things, and somehow put them togather, and again come up with something cryptic sounding that in reality would probably be something really simple. =^^= .../\...
I was actually talking to a few friends of mine a while ago about starting a side project with them. We're thinking of calling it something like Tocassi or Nobody's Darlings.
