what do you want to peirce? well i peirced my lip myself, and my ears and my upper ear, i did my lip with a sewing machine needle, im not sure what size, 36 something idk. and i clean it with ear cleaning salution, and peroxide every now and then. and i used jsut a regular hand sewing needle to peirce my ears, and i cleaned them the same way. just know, is really hard to get the ring through, especially if your doing like you rnose or your lip. my next preject is gonna be my belly button, that shuld be fun....

yeah go to a shop. although mrs morrison did a fine job on herself, it IS easier to fuck it up than get it right. there's too many variables and things that could go wrong. is it that your 'rents won't let you? or what's the reason?

My friend tried to do that, and aparently she got like half way through, and then couldn't get any more, and then she got this crazy-ass bruise. It was like a rainbow.

OMG DON"T DO THAT!!! Go to a REPUTABLE shop! There's a reason they do that with STERILE equipment! Your health and safety is worth that small investment!

Go to a trained professional. Using a pin or anything is a bad idea just cause someone else did it and they turned out fine doesn't mean it is a good idea. Everyone reacts different to everything. When it comes to needles, professionals use razor sharp hollowed needles that are sterilized and designed for piercing. Sewing machine needles, safety pins, and thumb tacs are made to pin clothes together, put shit on walls, and the go throw fabric. Punch a pencil threw some paper and that would be like using a non-professional "needle". It rips the tissue rather then cutting it leaving severe unhealthy damage along the way. Professional grade needles are like using a hole punch on a sheet of paper. Much smoother cleaner cut and much better. Plus there is no way someone can sterilze anything to the degree a professional would at home without the use of professional machinary. No chemical at home is able to do this. As for cleaning, peroxide and ear care solution are both bad ideas for any piercing in any fashion. NO piercing shop in there right mind would suggest use of these. They have been proven to be bad for piercing in almost ever fashion. Antibactirial soap, sea salt solution, and some marketed cleaning solutions are the best method for cleaning. A good piercing studio should sell these and tell you how to use them. To all of you who claim to know how to pierce without being a professional, get your facts straight and learn the safe and smart way to do this stuff. And if you are too young. WAIT TIL YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH! Looking cool with a new lip ring isn't that big of a deal. You could seriously scar yourself, damage nerves, or hurt yourself severly by trying shit like the at home method. Go to a professional.
