n im thinkin bout using wax to make them look more presentable n not crazy looking.... n then wash it out.. its made of myicrochrystalines or sumthin like that n the dread head soap washes it out..not gonna use a lot..
well im jus gonna use it once n have it here already since i bought the kit from dhhq....(BLAH) n dont have any aloe..
wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll try and melt it/soften it a bit first before you use it, cause itll go further and youll be tempted to use less
use it once its in there for a hgoood long time ..its soooo hard to remove and even the knottyboy wax remover says it cant remove wax from dreads aloe on the other hand will come right out in a light rain/... be smart dont screw up with wax when u can use something natural and harm free like aloe
any os too much and whats blow drying do but melt it into the core where its harder to get out dont..get aloe..why would u put something in u cant get out when u can use something thast comes out so easily edit: u say ya dont have aloe.. so what buy some geez..buy a plant buy a bottle why screw with the cvery stuff that ya know has messed up 1/2 the dreads here 1st time around when u can go buy a safe alternative
i never blow dried after i used wax so i dunno how thatd work. it might make the wax go deeper into the dread, thus making it harder to remove
if u use it sparingly it does come out... its made of microcryaline wax.. soap washes it right out if not over used... 1 or 2 washes..
well thats cool, if youre hellbent on using it then use it. i dont see why a teeny amount will make you wanna curl up and die =] is it dread wax? i was just thinking, what if you use some hair styling gel, or putty or summat to tidy them, cause thats washoutable
idk i dont see it as a detrimental deal using it jus once... i mean once isnt gonna do much.. jus using enough to tame the frizzies down..not necessarily hellbent on it but dont c the big deal jus the once
Yeh I was wondering about just a regular styling product too...one that's designed to hold well but also wash out. It's not ideal and I wouldn't do it myself...but yeh it occurred to me anyway
DAX do a range of black hair products that I seem to remember include some sort of dreadlock balm, and they do a range of shampoos specifically designed to wash them back out. On the other hand you could just use brillcreme (sp?)
Do you have a friend that likes you a lot? If you do... buy a crochet hook and get them going on your head. It will take a long time, but they can weave in all the loose ends. I had some top hairs coming out of my dreads... and I mean they were like 8 inches long, so asked hubby if he could crochet them in for me. Well, once he got going and saw what he needed to do, he did two entire dreads without me realizing it. So now I have two dreads with hardly any fly aways at all. Not sure if I'll continue with the others, but I think I might. Kinda like the tidier look of them... so confusing these dreads. lol And remember how I told the story about the wool aroudn teh dreads? I think I might try that on the two and see how they turn out in a couple days.
dont believe the lies abvout it comming out in 1 or 2 washes it doesnt a tiny bit may not kill ya but it certainly wont just disapear magicly your way better off using aloe so why not just get aloe..its the best thing ya can do..or hell hair spray (yuck im actualy suhggesting hair spraay? eeek) mucouse would be better then wax im not sayin ya should have ppl blow theyre noses in your dreads, but it is a better solution then wax.. lets see what else.. a bottle of soda would be sticky enough to be a wax alternative.. aloe is the odvios answer and ya can get it so easy so why wouldnt ya hell if u cant get pure aloe the sunburn kind isnt gonna kill ua its not ideal but sure beats wax.. mouse styling gels hairsprays all would make me gag but all would be way better then wax but if ya are set on wax ya might as well take the next step towards a permanant solution..shalack or however its spelled ..seal them inshalack and yas wont ever frizz
For what it's worth, I bought an aloe plant today at Home Depot for $5.99. Couldn't find them anywhere else this time of year.
