I'm shaving my head today

That's right I've thought about this for soooo long, and I think I finally have the balls to do it.

I've dyed my hair dark brown or black for over 10 years now and it's just getting to the point where my hair is so dry that it's just turning into dreads and I have no control over it. Also, I want to stop dying it and get my natural colour back, but there's no way any amount of bleaching would get rid of the colour without my hair falling off. So I'm gonna shave it all off and let it grow back, all natural and healthy.

I did buy a wig too, a really nice one that looks very natural and you can't really tell it's a wig unless you know it is - in case I can't cope with a bald head.. and I probably can't, hahah. So yeah.. I'm waiting for Tim to come home from work and then it's byebye hair..

 

Woohoo! You go girl! I think that's great. Think of how healthy your hair is going ot be when it grows back!

 

I know, it'll be so pretty and shiny My hair was so blonde and shiny and straight before I started dying it.. It'll probably be darker now though. Oh well, we'll see..

How long was your hair before shaving?

 

not very, average I'd say. I'd been in the habit of cutting my own hair for a couple years, which generally worked out well but I severely botched the last job and it was all bunched up on top so I decided to just let it grow out from scratch.

 

You go girl! You have such a beautiful face that you can pull off the shaved head very well. And you will look like a badass bitch What a hot look!

 

wow! go for it. i would never get the guts to do that. hope it all goes well, make sure u have invested in plenty of wooley hats of the frezzing british winters!

it probably comes as no surprise to some here that i fully support this decision haha

i think it can look really, really good, and a woman who can pull off a look like that usually, in my opinion, is super extra attractive :tongue:

course i also think super short hair, like buzzed or a few days after shaving, looks even better still

Haha aww, thanks for all the encouragement you guys You clearly have more faith in me being able to pull it off than I do. I'm kinda scared, hahah. O well, it's just hair, it'll grow back I suppose..

I wanna do it NOW but Tim said he wants to do it coz I'm always shaving his head and now it's his turn..
