I'm stuck in the early 90s, most notably a Smashing Pumpkins concert, with, if I'm allowed to dream, Mazzy Star and Jane's Addiction opening.

Even in the late 90s, I was still stuck in the 80s. I haven't been in awhile, but I'm gonna lie, I like Madonna's stuff from the 80s (although I really haven't listened to it in awhile).

Honey, I grew up when THE MUSIC was playing.

No f/x and tsunami bomb, among others show signs of the Revivial.

blink-182 was a teenbopper band- your gen, wasn't it?

    Death to pop stars!

No not really my generation. Maybe, I never really payed attention to when they came on the scene. So Im guessing you grew up in the 60's and 70's? I agree.....classic rock is what I love and what I listen too...besides early 90's "grunge rock", which is great music to me...soundgarden,alice n chains...... I guess being born in 1981, Ill never truley know what THE MUSIC is all about. I should get on that. Btw..it was only a joke, man!

Where is the good music? What happened to it? If you listen to anything Top 40, it is all crap, and the same mindless type of crap has been playing for the past three years. Where are the original artists? Nowadays not even the write/singer is an original, they always have the Neptunes or someone else influencing them. They say video killed the radio star (The Buggles), I say it killed originality and placed the importance in looks, not sounds. Real music should sound good, not look good.

Peace and Let's hope better music is in the future.

yea well lets not stray from the topic at hand. i was only born in 88 so i cant say that i liked the generation, but most of the music was great.

and yes, i still rock the black Members Only jacket.

    Summer Of '69

I got my first real six-string
    Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played it til my fingers bled
It was the summer of '69

Me and some guys from school
Had a band and we tried real hard
Jimmy quit and Jody got married
I shoulda known we'd never get far

Oh when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Ya - I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life

    Ain't no use in complainin'
When you got a job to do
Spent my evenin's down at the drive-in
And that's when I met you

    Standin' on your Mama's porch
You told me that you'd wait forever
Oh and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life
Back in the summer of '69

    Man we were killin' time
    We were young and restless
    We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever - forever, no

And now the times are changin'
Look at everything that's come and gone
Sometimes when I play that old six-string
I think about ya wonder what went wrong

    Standin' on your Mama's porch
You told me it would last forever
Oh the way you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life
Back in the summer of '69

did you know bryan addams was about 9 in 1969?
    ---------
s.b.- the music is hiding in a record store, not on the top 40!

hmm im definetely stuck in the 70's/80's even though i wasnt alive in the 70's OR 7 years of the 80's. i reckon i must have had a past life or sumink :p i know more about music from that era, than my parents do which is pretty strange. i think the term 'music' has lost a lot of its value considering the quality of music today. especially 'popular music'. and i think its taken for granted a lot. a lot of artists come and go, and it seems nowadays there are few records, bands and artists you can call 'classics' and will be able to remember in 10 years time.

    Dude, I breathe 80s.

A third of my DVD collection is 80s movies.

90% of my CD collection is from the 80s

And my clothes? Well I still love the jeans and leather look, I even go out of my way to get those leather gloves without the finger coverings every year.

I mean what else can I say? I also study a lot about the 80s, like history and politics of the 80s, 80s economy, it's all 80s for me.

I mean half of the time I forget it's the 21st Century.
