ZILLA Everyone Orchestra (sometimes they do electronic stuff, but mostly its not..when they do its awesome though!) Ozric Tentacles
used to listen to Can when I was like 12 yrs old, then I found I liked Holger Czukay's solo work a lot more. I also like: Oren Ambarchi, Fushitsusha, Klaus Schulze, Acid Mothers Temple I doubt ozric tentacles improvise much, most of the time their music seems to be very accuratley composed. anyway im more into noise and free improv.
Just a couple of days ago I came across John Zorn's Cobra - both improvised and experimental...and looks like a lot of fun too More here - http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=392433&f=606
And another recent discovery - an art installation featuring electric guitars played randomly by Zebra Finches...probably cant get more improvised or experimental http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=392732&f=606
Me too, I've seen some great bands (and played in a few too) over the years Who do you like in noise and free improv?
