So here's the deal, kiddies... I'm going to be staying in Seattle with my good friend Monosphere for the summer. There are quite a few forumers around the area that are up for a meeting. And I'm all excited. But I'd like to make this meeting, whoever shows up, for one of the first two weeks in July. Probably a weekend. And I'd like to know a general number of people who would like to attend...and what they're willing to be up for... It was suggested meeting at Lake Bronson clothing optional resort...Which I am fine with, but it costs money to go, and some people might not be up for that... Whatever goes on, I'll try to make sure that everything goes smoothly and is accessible to everyone who wants to attend...a fair middle distance for those closest away...But add your thoughts and your excitement of meeting... I want to know who's up for this!
hey holly.... that sounds awsome!! although, im not really to fond of the whole nekkid camp... but whatever we choose will be fine. i think for our first time meeting, clothing should be on just my opion 4th of july weekend may be hectic for some, family gatherings and what not... and plus tons of people will be all over, everywhere... its to bad its not in august for hempfest anyway, thats all i have for now... and basically these are just my personal thoughts, but whater is decided is great with me!
well, erm....I want to hear opinions, definitely...I want everyone to be as comfortable and accessible for this meeting as possible...So yeah...no nudie camp
the more I think of it, the more I'm thinking that 4th of july weekend might be a bit hectic. Although I would still like to hear from all y'all what works better for you. AS for a location, thre are a number of parks all around Seattle and surrounding areas. Alki has a beach as well as a beautiful view of the Olympic mountains and the sound. However, there are a lot of people out there and it's not herb friendly (for those who are wanting to partake in that). Discovery Park in Seattle is fairly large with fields, trees, and beaches. Little easier to get away with the herb. Gasworks and Myrtle Edwards will be packed on 4th of July due to them being perfect viewing points for fireworks (if y'all are here that weekend) I'd suggest going down to the Oregon Country Fair on the 8th, 9th, and 10th and get adjacent camping grounds, but that might be a bit too far for our friends coming from Canada. However, it would help with our North cali friends. That and it's one of those places that seems to have been made for us forumers, pagans, hippies, and open minded people in general. (and it's barefoot friendly as well as having a nudist camp inside the place, so everyone's satisfied) There's also a folk fest going on in victoria around that time, but again, might be hard for the Oregon and Cali people to join in. unless they're willing to take the trip.
and I'm now agreeing that Lake Bronson might be a bit too forward for us all meeting for the first time unless you've a mind to engage in the lifestyle. I wouldn't have an issue with it, but I can see how others would.
Heya all. Me and jaycee are in vancouver around that time and are considering popping over to seatle too. Whats this about a folk festival in victoria mono??? And the fair sounds soooo tempiting but how far away from canada is it? its jsut we fly back on the 17th. (the trip is 3 weeks, 27th june till 17th of july)
Well, you can make it in a day's drive, although it'd be a long day. and the fair is from July 8-10, so you'd have plenty of time to get back to Canada. As for the folk fest in Vic, you'd have to talk to psyche about that. She's gonna be working it, but doesn't have the date quite yet. Will your friends in Van Island be joining you as well?
vashon island, this is the coolist hippy spot, and it is only a fairy ride away and is cool with the herb. i was homeless there for 2 months. the people there are frendly hitching not a problem and the fairy is like $5 or so thats just my opinion if you wont to know more just ask.
Just out of curiosity, is there alot of work in the Seattle / Tacoma area? It has to be better than here....
Hey, I'm up for anything really. Even Bronsons, though I wouldn't be nude myself... we don't need to see my white, fat ass in the open. What type of situation are you talking about too? Just meeting for a few days, a month, every now and then? Too bad you guys won't be here at the end of May for Folklife Festival... talk about herb friendly. And crap, you don't even have to bring any of your own. I'll see what kind of thinking I can come up with of things to do.
I think we decided that Bronson's would be out in regards to all of us meeting up for the first time. although I'd be cool with heading out there at other times with anyone who's game. But I think most would feel comfortable meeting each other first BEFORE going to a clothing optional event. You never know who might be a creep before meeting, ya know? Holly will be here during Folklife and I do plan on taking her there. I'd be up for meeting a few people there as well. Sorry for not taking a more active role in working out plans with y'all. Been dealing with family things, flooded basement, dead car, and weirdness at the job. But I'll be able to concentrate a little more on it soon. I am liking the idea of multiple gatherings, but if we were talking about one where the majority could attend, we were thinking second weekend in July? I'd be up for the first one, but people might have 4th of July plans. Hehe. I might be up in canada that weekend anyway for their little festivities (and maybe another bungy jump). I'm going to go through and see what kinds of events, festivities, etc are going on during the summer and start listing them somewhere here in the forums. If you guys know of any other NW forumers, get their input as well. All ideas are welcome.
