In the event of getting pulled over....

Im pretty sketch about having weed n other shit when Im riding in the car with people, even though Ive never gotten busted.

Anyway my question is can you just stuff the weed in your shoe? like to cops ever look there?

 

i have been pulled over twice for routine speeding offenses, and both times i had weed on me. (one time kind of high)

the only way that you will EVER get searched is if you are driving erratically or look totally baked or doing something really dumb (shooting fireworks out of the car)...

as long as you aren't obviously baked or smell like and weed (and you keep a cool head), you really have nothing to worry about.

Just make sure that only have a small amount of weed on you in the car. If you are pulled over and you have less than an eighth on you, you can just eat it. doesn't sound too great, but its better than having your ass busted

 

yeah its always discreet to have a couple grams of weed in your mouth when the cop comes to your window..

has anyone that suggests eating weed ever tried to eat a few grams between the time the lights come on an when the cop gets to the window??

without drawing hellu attention in the process no less... if a cop sees you squirmin around,shovin shit in your mouth,(yes they do look for that shit)you can expect to be pulled out and you an your car searched.. they DO NOT like a buncha movement in your vehicle after they hit there lights.

i just cant see it bein done with more than a gram..

and in the unlikely event your were able to hack down your buds without the cop noticing,,i would strongly advise not to open your mouth wide enough for him to see all the leftovers stuck in your teeth,,..

i guess what im sayin is eating your weed in a traffic stop situation wouldnt be a good plan IMO...

 

If it is not in plain sight and you are calm it should be fine.

 

in the event of a traffic stop,

calm and cool is always best,(keep your shit together,a shaky hand when handin over your license is never good) be polite and respectful, make sure you make eye contact when speaking or being spoken to..needless to say dont have anything suspicious or out of the ordinary in plain view.

never ever smoke weed in your vehicle.. that is a cardinal sin..

follow those simple rules and carryin your weed from point A to point B should be pretty safe even if you get stopped..
remember,, the best way to not get busted is to not get stopped,, so if your carrying weed,make sure your vehicle is legal windshield,lights,etc.and that you obey all traffic laws...

as for hiding it,,man if there lookin,,chances are there gonna find it..

No shit? I was just talking to my 18 y/o son about this very thing, driving with weed in his car, and I realized that I have never had a cop search my person. I've had my car searched many times, my garbage bags ripped opened and gone through, but never has a cop checked my pockets let alone my shoes. I once was pulled over when I had a fresh off the plant wet, green bud shoved into the cargo pocket of my pants and I reeked. The cop smelled it and searched the car and searched again, but never checked my pockets. I guess I've just been lucky.

Like HHB says, the best way to not get busted is not get pulled over. 20 years ago after a rash of pull overs and having my van searched again and again I traded my VW bus with dead stickers all over it for a chevy pickup with an NRA sticker and gee whiz the cops quit bothering me.

 

yes it was years ago, back when i was young an dumb. there was 4 of us, smokin in the car.. they pulled us all out rabbit eared our pockets,frisked us complete with a crotch grab and made us all remove our shoes..

they wound up with the roach in the ash tray an a few seeds an stems..
let us go after all that..

oddly enough when me an dilli had the big stop made on us a couple years back,(basically a felony stop,3 cops all at once) they spent 45 minutes in the car,an never even asked me to empty my pockets or anything else.

that was a bizarre one, someone musta gave them a bad tip cause we wernt holdin,an ya could tell they thought they had somethin big..

that reminds me,now that you mention it,one of the 3 stories they gave us for pulling us over that day was my bumper stickers in the back window..

so ad that to the list,no rock n roll,or anti establishment type bumper stickers on your car....

 

Got any idea about our alleged legal rights when it comes to searching our pockets? Supposedly they have to have just cause to search our vehicles, which means all they have to say is they smelled something or we acted weird. The situation I just mentioned with the wet bud in my pocket and they cop searching the car and not me made me think I had more rights regarding my person over a vehicle. I mean there was no doubt by the smell that weed was present.

when i was hitchiking around the country,1979 to 1986,i used to get patted down everytime they would hassle me,under the guides of "just making sure ya dont have anything on you that will hurt me"..
that was standard,first thing every time. "turn around put your hands on your head" then , "just making sure ya dont have anything on you that will hurt me"..

but no , i have no idea about legalities...

 

in my experience, the cops will claim they are "just doing a weapons pat" to make sure you dont have anything on you. its usually only allowed to be a quick sweep (no going into pockets and shit). if they overstep that, and go in your pockets or investigate items that had no potential to be a weapon, you can argue that in court

 

i just dont drive when im baked.ill drive and smoke but i stay where i go untill im sober enough to drive again.i only carry enough weed for me and 2 friends to smoke a joint or 2.another thing that sorta helps is i own/drive a towtruck.most "normal" cops dont bother towtrucks cuz they know we only have so much time to respond to calls or we lose them.so a towtruck driveing around,speeding a little,driving a little erratic is normal/OK.only time i worry is when the truck cops are out.thats usually during the day and i dont normally smoke during the day.

 

yeah umm while your eating weed i dont think someone would be squirming around just calmly go from hand to mouth its not hard and have a drink to wash it down easy... one time me n my 3 frinds were all really high and ate a half ounce in about 20 seconds... cops searched us to... and yes he checked our shoes.... and we got away with it but i had a horrible stomache ache for a few hours lol

 

well i guess the cops where your at are idiots and lack training because the cops here look for any movement in the vehicle. i can guarantee you that calmly or not a cop here sees you putting shit in your mouth while your being pulled over,your routine traffic stop will soon become a nightmare.

 

A few of my friends that were all selling doses a few years ago got stopped on the way to drop off 25 tabs to someone. I wish I was there...

The way I see it, just keep less than an 8th on you at all times, smoke before you drive

 

They could have been stickers that say "I love my mother" in the back window and they still could have used that as reason to pull you over. Its because they are obstructing your rear view. Granted thats the legal reason in all reality the cop read the sticker and said hey lets pull those hippies over. Or like you said they had someone give them a bad tip. But thats why they could give that as a reason for pulling you over.

 

You should be fine. If you get pulled over, and the cop starts harassing you about pot, do NOT consent to any type of search unless you can get away with it. Just tell the cop that you smoke cigaretts and you have no idea why he thinks you smell like pot.

Yeah see I read it as you thought that he was giving the fact that the stickers were related to a "drug" Culture for the reason of being pulled over.
