Recently I boiled my seven jars for a full ninety minutes. however I ended up leaving later that day and can not innoculate at this moment.... does anybody know how long before you can not innoculate if so? or if I should just boil em again? Thanks
I would sanitize them again just to make sure you won't get any of those nasty moulds inside! Can never be too careful with those mushrooms, you know...
They will probably be fine for a little. I'd start over maybe if it's been longer than a week. Jars are more likely to get contaminated during inoculation than from sitting around as long as you took proper measures to keep contaminants out. Additionally, you should make sure that your jars have not dried out.
Yea, If it's more than a week your better off re-boiling/ sterislings them again. It's not worth the risk. Especially if you have an limtied amout of spores.
If you purchase ready made jars online, they are at least a week old. There is no reason they should become contaminated if prepared properly. The only consideration should be the moisture level.
