I find it very interesting that the National Security issue was so important in this election, but the 3 states that lost the most people in the WTC voted Kerry. New York, New Jersey & Connecticut.
It boils down to urban people preferring Kerry, cousin fucking southerners and rural people voting for Bush....it even goes by county here where I live in Ohio, the cities for Kerry and the rest voting for Bush.
Another democrat who just won't learn. Your arrogant, elitist attitude doesn't win many votes you know. And your assessment of the character of people who live in cities, and people who live in the country, doesn't match Thomas Jefferson's either.
who cares, I have a right to trash whoever I want. I don't work for the democratic party and the election is over. People in cities are way smarter than rural people. The south continues to be the most backwards region of the country. I'm happy to be a snob.
I'm sorry, but this is why we can't get anything done in this country. You complain about the crassness of Republicans, and then you say stuff like this. If we can argue with Republicans in a civil manner, we can teach them something, and maybe, if you're open-minded enough, when you lose an argument on a given point, you'll realize that you lost to that Republican for a reason,... because he's probably right. His point on this certain issue then should be considered, because he obviously has a good stance. Republicans are wrong on a lot of issues, in my opinion, like the war and whether it's a good idea, but if I lose an argument to someone, I am open enough to question if maybe it's because he has a good point. I can't understand any real vote for Bush after seeing last 4 years, though.
Listen, i am just myself. I am crass, I am arrogant. If you can't handle that put me on ignore. I have never complained about the crassness of republicans, i don't inherently dislike republicans. Its social consevatives that bother me. Sorry, but the south just lags...it should be obvious to anyone. I'm not here to convince anyone of anything, I think this country is in terrible shape, and I have plans to move with my wife to Spain within a year anyway. I honestly don't care what happens here anymore....well I care, but i think the US gets what it deserves.
cousin fucking... now that is funny. Unfortunately it is not the truth. Stop blaming others for the failure of the democratic party and get off your ass and do something about it. I honestly can't stand that people only care about politics during election time and they are thouroughly uneducated on the topic, but claim to know everything about it based on stupid commercials and the media or what their pastor tells them. I really do believe that people in this country are not capable of thinking for themselves any longer. We have been completely brainwashed. There are only a few of us left who will be able to start a revolution and make a real change. Either you are with us or you are not. But bitching got us to where we are now, I suggest we stop, get over it and DO SOMETHING. Start from the very bottom. Start educating people on our political system. No one cares until it effects them directly. Show them how it does effect them. Not with stupid conspiracy theories (and believe me I have some, but I keep them to myself) but rather teach people what the government has done in the past, where we have learned from our mistakes and what we stand to gain if we move forward not backward. I think most people forget what this country was founded on. It certainly wasn't the moral values of Bush. Our forefathers are turning in their graves this morning. This is not what America was supposed to be. So take it back and make it what it should be. Just stop whining I'm sick of listening to it. We lost, this battle, because we did it wrong. Now do it right and maybe we can start to win. Sea, I don't mind you being crass or arrogant, hey that is what makes you who you are. But what you are saying to people might not be helping things. I'm not saying I don't agree I think that there are parts of the South that do lag behind, I have seen it with my own eyes, but you can't lump everyone together and blame a particular region for the fall of this country. There are a lot of people that need to look into the mirror on this one.
Hey overly sensitive people, it was a joke about the cousin fucking part...but I'm dead serious about the south. I know not EVERYONE there is an idiot, but when it comes down to it, i really have nothing in common with the majority of people down there, and have no way to convince them of anything. BTW, I'm not whining, I'm ranting and disgusted by my country. I realize the republicans won fairly, this morning I am more alienated than ever really.
Maybe you ought to take a look at an election map. You really have no connection with the north, the west or the south. The NE and the Rust-belt -- and the Left Coast -- that's the only thing you have connection with. And I'm thinking that if the precint by pricint results of the election were shown in Red and Blue, you'd have precious little connection with any but a few heavily populated precincts ANYWHERE.
Sorry, i don't follow. Listen, I don't care who I have what in common with. If your suggesting that a person should go with the majority simply because they are outnumbered then you really must be a teenager. The whole country except me could supoort Bush, and it wouldn't change how I feel. Have you ever driven through one of those small towns where everyone looks weird and are extremely ugly? inbreeding my friend, inbreeding and I forgot fetal alcohol syndrome, no joke. I am completely fine having more in common with the northeast and west coast...both of those regions are miles ahead of the rest of the country in most every way except NASCAR drivers per capita.
No. I'm suggesting that there is quite a difference between "going along with the majority" on one hand, And calling them names, and sliming their origins, character, beliefs, votes on the the other hand. The fact that you can't even understand, says loads about what sort of "person" you are.
Quote: And calling them names, and sliming their origins, character, beliefs, votes on the the other hand. Sorry, but I hate social conservative beliefs and I think small town folk are small minded on the whole. I guess I'm evil, or maybe just a realist. Either way, your criticism means absolutely nothing to me.
How 'bout them Mets? Oh wait, thats not on topic either... I think the only good thing is that the majority of states that went for Bush had Kerry votes in the 40-49 percentile. There were a couple of lopsided ones but....this means that almost half of the American public does not agree with the current administration. At least I'm/we're not alone. I'm so fucking disappointed. Also, if my cousin was hot I'd fuck her & I live in New Jersey! Woohoo! I like Lynyrd Skynyrd too! And biscuits & gravy and slow barbecue! And I don't mind watching NASCAR! I also think that its pretty funny that when I lived down south half the people I met were from the North! And according to census data there is a slow migration to the south from the north all around! So therefore, there are alot of northerners down south. As for those bible belt folks...
well, upon surveying craigslist-London, I can see other Americans DO feel the same as me. "Dear World, My deepest apologies. Please have mercy on us New Englanders and West Coasters when we visit your countries. You will be able to tell us apart from the other Americans, those fatties waving their bibles in the air, we will have our heads ducked in shame, pretending we are Canadian."-craigs list london I realize I am generalizing, but I believe there is truth in it that people are too pc to admit.
You on the other hand are even-handed and open-minded to ideas other than your own. Right? A "realist" who doesn't understand 11 out of 11 gay marriage bans passing in 11 different states all over the country, who doesn't recognize gains in the House and the Senate, doesn't see the most powerful democrat in the US {Daschele} going down in defeat, hasn't realized that this is not only a significant electoral college victory, but also the first majority president since 1988, 1984, and 1980. Maybe you don't realize what that word means.
