    Hello,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 38 yo male, married w/2 kids. I'm a barefooter, nudist, and naturist and a member of DSS. I absolutely loath clothing of any type. I am nude whenever possible, and that includes outside activities as well as inside. My kids, 6 and 8, are quite used to seeing me nude. I shower them everyday, so it's no big deal to them. I hope it doesn't change as they get older. My wife is also nude while in the house. I love to hike barefooted. I've hiked nude (talk about exhilerating!), I mow my lawn in the nude, and I wash my cars in the nude. When I lived in a neighborhood, I used to take early morning walks in the nude. Now I live in a rural area, so the excitement isn't as great. I drive barefooted, mostly because my shoes get caught between the brake and clutch pedals. I can also feel the pedals better when barefooted. I travel quite a bit on business and when I do, it is always barefooted. I have yet to be asked to put on shoes in an airport. It also makes it more convenient to go through security. I do get some strange looks from people, but that's their problem. I like to streak, especially neighborhoods. Motion lights and dogs make it fun. I've been caught twice with no repercussions. I'm into bodybuilding and my physique is similar to that of a male gymnist, not too big but lean and cut. I love to show it off.

I've noticed a lot of people here have had differing experiences while barefooted in Walmart. I've barefooted many Walmarts and have the same to report. I've noticed that all confrontations are from people that don't like to be barefooted themselves. The reason I know this is I ask them if they like to be barefooted. Most all say "no". Frankly, I don't see why the general public is so uptight about barefeet. Barefeet are certainly not, imo, classed as "private parts" as some people think. Some people don't like to see naked feet, but what's the difference whether they are in flip flops or bare, there's still skin showing. I also don't like the discrimination males get in the work place, especially mine. The females are allowed to wear open-toed sandals, but the males are not.

My family shares some of my interests. My daughter can't stand shoes and would be barefoot all the time if her mother would let her. My wife doesn't do public barefooting much. She's somewhat stuck on the stereotype that no shoes indicates poverty or low IQ.

    That's all for now.

    Welcome, Au Naturel,

I'm with you all the way except I've never streaked, but all the other things you say describe me quite well. One thing that makes me crazy is double standards---we fought this one before when trying to be allowed to have long hair (dates me, doesn't it?) and later about being able to wear shorts (as if all guys have ugly legs) it's apparently still going on as you say. If women can wear sandals to work so, goddammit, should you.

I will remember what you said, about the ones who complain the most about bare feet can't stand to do it themselves, the next time I'm hassled. I hadn't thought of it that way, although it's reasonable to assume they wouldn't like it. More than anything, it's the problem with control freaks. Enough of us can overwhelm them, and we must.

Let us know how things go for you.

My mum thinks the same thing. She says I have no class and am ignorant and a hillbilly because I don't wear shoes.
