Is it a sin?

Is marijuana a sin? I'm saying no myself, but I'd just like some backup. Since it was mentioned and used in the Holy Bible as an sacrement, I doubt it. Thank you for your help and God Bless!

I don't enjoy you talking about God that way. I asked if it was a a sin or not. I didn't ask if it was ok to roll it in bible paper (bad) and call God a bad name (BAD)

Personally, I'm not even sure if there is a god and, if there is a god, which one is it? I believe there is some kind of god, somewhere, but I also don't put much faith into the bible, as I'm sure it has been changed or at least mistranslated over the past few thousand years. lol There's no way ALL of it is accurate, if any of it.

 

It's ok. But people at my school call me father adam or pastor adam. But It's totally fine.

It depends on the circumstances. For example, if your parents tell you not to, then you should obey them.

Also, God's law trumps society's law.

 

lmfao i didnt know bible freak tools like this kid smoke weed. why are you asking us this when you could go ask your friendly pastor? think hed tell you what you want to hear? shit ill save you the trip he'll tell you smoking weed is a sin. its an illegal drug and youll go to hell if you smoke it. so if youre that scared that smoking weed is a sin... then just dont smoke weed.

 

I couldn't imagine living my life a certain way just because something tells me to, that would suck. Live how you want, I'm just saying...

I really don't know a ton about god and the Bible and what not but I say that you really need to decide on what YOU believe. If you believe that god put marijuana on this earth for the use of human beings and other animals, then smoke if you want. If you believe that god put THC on earth for another reason and not for the purpose of altering your natural state of mind then don't smoke it to get high.
Some people believe the whole thing about how the devil put something evil into everything good that god created, just keep that in mind.

So believe what YOU believe, don't believe what others believe simply because they believe it. Use your mind, not others'.


I personally believe that herb is a good, natural thing. I truly think that it has made me a better person. I've gone to counseling for marijuana use and even after all that I've learned from it I still believe that marijuana can be a very good thing, even though I know that it can also be a very bad thing, you just need to know how to use and treat it.

 

I agree. Even if I did believe it was a sin, I'd still smoke. If god doesn't want me to do something that makes me happy and isn't hurting me or anyone else, then fuck god because, if that's the case, then god is no better than all these bitch ass cops we have to deal with. The best we can do is live our lives, try to be happy, and treat people right.

The thing that turns me away from Christianity the most is how the government views religion. According to the constitution, religion and state should be separate, but you still see "in god we trust" in all court rooms and on all forms of federal currency, which is fukt up as hell. They should either acknowledge ALL religions, or they shouldn't acknowledge any relgion at all.

 

Methodists... its not a sin as long as used in moderation. just like anything else..

Catholics.. its only a sin until you confess it at sunday mass.. then you're good!.. til next sunday

but in all actuality i asked a priest once.. im not religious btw.. if marijuana smoking was allowed by god.. and he said all things are excepted by god as long as you do not put it in front of his almighty... meaning.. yes.. don't over do it though

 

What constitutes a sin? Who decides what sort of action is sinful?

If smoking is in fact a sin (I don't believe in sins) then sinning is the shit. Sins don't really make sense as they are basically the same thing as a grudge, except you are keeping them against yourself as recognition of doing something wrong to someone whom you have no idea physically exists.
