One of my fellow band members recently had a little tete-a-tete on a certain forum that shall remain nameless.I watched with morbid curiosity has several people became rather offended at my mates approach which began to raise questions in my head as to what defines personality beyond outward appearances and socially agreed-upon criteria. what was also interesting was the 'group consciousness' effect of responding to the posts, even though each one was individually submitted, there appeared to be a larger, more controlling pattern to things. I began to wonder if consciousness itself was just information and more complexity lead to a more aware consciousness. With these things in mind, i decided to write an unconnected article for the sake of taking the piss out of my mates protagonists, but i doubt if'll they'll get the irony so ive posted it here for your perusal and enjoyment, should it come to that. The article can be found here http://www.mtvdance.com
if i understand what you are saying (which i think i do)...i completely agree....but this is a pattern very much the same in the external world....the majority of ppl stick to the "group consciousness" because it feels safer....there have been psychology studies and tests on groups that prove this theory... before i go on..am i catching your drift? i also think information is like energy that flows through the human body....and the entire human entity...perhaps we are like a replica of the internet....and access is just a fingertip away?
I think you're thinking what i think i'm thinking about. i suppose i'm also refering to group consciousness on different levels, wether its VR or RL, or maybe to the extent of universal organisations. (All patterns are conscious due to their self referencing nature and the more complex the pattern........) I can see the safety in numbers argument, and maybe that would also count when we look at cells in a human body, but there does seem to be a bigger organising principle at work. Almost as if all information is trying to join together, to relate to one another, and maybe that is because the universe is becoming (more ?) conscious. Relating it to my friends posts, it also seems that consciousness will converge on any unknown variable, or in this case the anomaly of someone not following 'community rules' and that then becomes the organising principle. An ever increasing density of interest that attracts attention to itself. Like a blackhole, but not.
perhaps so we are all vibrating at the same level...maybe if we vibrate on a collective level than we can make it to a higher level.... the universe is definitely becoming more conscious..we can see that individually...i guess the individual is just an example of the whole.... for example, in yr 8 science i did a study of organisms in different water samples...to count the organisms in the dish i had to divde the dish into eighths and count one eigth of the organisms than multiply by eight.... so an individual ironically stands for a whole? "relating to one" another struck me - because that is what the individual is trying to do all the time...we are just a reflection of the whole entity.....and that is what we are becoming conscious of? as well as conscious of much more on small and large scales... your last paragraph makes perfect sense and i observe that taking place in my life all the time.,....so basically everything is magnetically attracted once it has become conscious....that which we think on develops at unnatural speeds? i know all of what i am saying is a mess and not well linked...but i am just sortof mindmapping ideas about this...
so in theory this proves there is no such thing as an individual..this consciousness is eliminating the ability to be anything but one....
Vibrating together also makes sense (you go first ). The idea of 'things' being referenced to one another, be it patterns or beings, can also be described as resonance or harmonic vibration, but things kind of get a bit subjective after that. Maybe there is an original vibration (as in the om sound/shape) which either creates all the individual harmonics or is the grand attractor pulling all the randomness into shape to allow it to become. (Maybe that explains coincidences) Consciousness does appear to spill out of any sort of defined 'individuality' and create this sort of mingling effect, or vice versa, as i was just saying !
so an original infinite vibration? so coincidences happen when more than one happening is attracted to the same line of vibration....grr...so hard to pull this out... i suppose it is all like an infinite blackhole.... but if we talk about energy fields....the earths energy etc.....do you think there wil come a time when human evolution will control this if information was attained by the wrong ppl..because i have read about testing on the earths magnetic field.....we are all like antenna....therefore we all are wired the same way and have the same access to the same information at al times if conscious.... bleh..so hard to stay on one track in such a complex area!
I think that is very true, but it also strikes me that a 'fit' internet would itself be conscious, although i'm using people as an analogy and presuming each of our cells are conscious. It also appears that if computational power continues increasing, eventually a computer will be able to work out all possible conditions for the universe, including those patterns that give rise to every perception of consciousness. We are measuring devices, we make ever more accurate measuring devices. What happens when all possibilities have been measured into existence ? Maybe our desire to keep connecting will eventually create a big bang !
It depends on whether evolution favours the fittest to survive or the fittest to manifest a universal consciousness. One argument i'd say yes, that we are able to evolve ourselves even (the purpose of imagination !) to becoming whatever we percieve to be the best form to survive. Given the oppurtunity i can see the future human race existing as balls of liquid DNA deep in space. No gravity to require limbs etc, just the desire to exist. The other argument I see consciousness as being like existence itself and manifesting through specific patterns so although individuals may feel like they have free will and try to 'abuse' the information, on average and in the long run, the grand 'plan' of total existence/consciousness will be fulfilled.
The big bang is also an intersting concept when you think about it, it's not intersting if you dont, well it might be to someone else, but thats the point. If you add quantum to the equation you get a mutitude of multiverses each capable of being a fractal of the whole or, maybe more interesting, an isolated island of lessness or specificness. Evolution in these universes may actually follow a non repetative pattern of possibilty disengaging it from the vibrational whole whilst still existing as a harmonic. Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing, but it's not hard to imagine a universe where squares come in all shapes and sizes.
I know, i spelt 'interesting' wrong in the first line ! I'm going to edit it now, just to clear things up.
