I can give you my opinions, but love to hear yours.--A few quick things I'll mention, the age of information really has become the age of mis-information,in large part because of the net.I also think it makes alot of younger people teens,20s alot more jaded in general.Alot of other things I could mention, but again I'm asking your opinions.

NO! I sell about 70 percent of my items on-line, the others to stores. The internet is def the majority of my income and my buisness wouldn't exist without it.
I think it can be bad for teens aor anyone who misuses their time and psend multiple hours a day, everyday not doing productive things on the internet.

The net is a very useful tool. It becomes an obstacle to productivity when people use it as an instrument to socialize.

    You know, like HipForums.

Good thing most people here don't have jobs...

well, it has its pros and cons. where i see it being bad is how it is so easy to gather random bits and pieces of things you are interested in and then you passing it off as if you really are knowledgeable in that area - that you spent a good amount of time actually learning it and practically applying that knowledge - the term internet expert comes to mind. and i'm sure we all know a few of them...

    however, i wouldn't call it over-rated.

The ability to quickly share and access multitudes of information is really great, but this can be used for both "good" and "bad."

Nearly everything humans have made I feel it can be used to do great good, but unfortunately we'll probably end up using it for more "bad" than "good"...yea yea..I'm a negative Nancy I know.

If used the right way, the Internet becomes an invaluable source of information, a tool for self-education, and a highly effective means of communication.

If used the wrong way, it could destroy your life; games or "social" sites taking up all your time, erroneous information like you said, and so on.

It sure has made porn a lot more accessible, though, which I'm sure we can all agree is a wonderful, wonderful thing.

My opinion,I think far too many people use it the 'wrong' way.--As far as porn being more accessible,I remember when you had to be 18 to pick up a porn magazine at the magazine shop.-I liked the good older porn magazines, back then women did not have the phoney tits, and kept it au-naturale which is sexier IMO,but thats a different subject.lol

parts of it are overrated, sure. but overall, the internet is a great tool.

if people don't use it right, that's their own problem, not the internet's. saying that that makes it bad is like saying hammers are evil because someone used one to crush someone else's skull at some point.

I can't argue with that.--I do think however that over-use can also fall into the same category of people not using it right.I know a number of people will disagree with me on that.

i think anyone would agree that overuse is misuse. the problem is in defining how much use is too much.

I guess the other question would be..

what does "using it right" entail?

using it as a tool instead of a crutch.

that is my extremely short answer to a question that requires a much longer answer, but i don't feel like going into.
