Breaking stuff? My younger bro just broke the TV remote into pieces, and I feel like swinging a bat to his freaking head...Its the 3rd one he breaks.
You shouldve seen my teen years. I was a wreck and broke everything. I also recently broke stuff. It only comes back to slap me in the face. And it only happens when I fight with my mother. that stuff's raw.
He got some anger issues? Maybe you should get him into some sport. Channel it somewhere productive. Kid probably's watching too much tv anyway. Take him out and play some soccer with him.
For the exact second of desruction theres enjoyment, then you realize the consquence. Just the other day punched out a window in randomness, then found out my hand was mangled.
Yeah I think he does have some anger issues, might take him to an amusment park next week with his friend, lets see if that helps.
Ive taken doors of their hinges. My parents and I butted heads. MY favourite time was when I took a huge bottle of ketchup (unopened) slammed it on the coffee table and it coevered the entire living room. At least I was never boring.
Usually in my younger years i would slam things on the floor too , but I had to make sure first that they wont break haha...I hate breaking stuff.
I hate breaking stuff I always feel really bad about it afterwards lol I think I did it once, thought it wasn't worth it and never did it again. Then again, I ALWAYS end up breaking stuff by accident It's how I roll, baby :H
How's your brother do in school? Anything changing for him? Spending a little time with him may help. Remind me to treat you well.
Eh it's good to have your kids a rebellious. Shows a lot of spirit. I hope your kids are little hell raisers.
How did he break it? One of my brothers used to take apart everything as a kid. Turns out he was just interested in how things worked. He is now studying electronic engineering. I on the other hand used to enjoy the temporary release I got from breaking thing made of glass. It was just an angry phase of my teens but I found the smashing sound very satisfying.
Yeah I try, He is practicaly home schooled this year though(thats how it is at junior high, weird system dont ask lol) and his grades are below average. I am guessing its puberty time
Nah nothing like that, I used to break down stuff too and put it back together... he is more like smashing the life out of it.
Yeah sounds like it. Try to get him into some kinda activity. I suggested soccer, but theres lots of things out there. Idle hands break remotes. What kinds of things is he intrested in?
If he is being more or less home-schooled, maybe he does need to get out a little more. Some energy expending sportcould be exactly what's needed.
He is a hardcore wrestling fan, the WWE crap and he used to enroll in these fitness and weight lifting courses in the gym, I'll try to get him to go back.
That'll be good. My suggestion is Ju Jitsu. Get him to channel that 14 year old kill instinct to something productive, try to get him intrested in it, and then use that as a leverage tool for his schoolwork. You can go to practice if you make all B's or something reasonable but firm.
fuck yes there's enjoyment to be had in breaking things! first off, there's breaking things out of anger, which is an excellent way to release some tension, but it's often hard to find things that you can break without consequence on the spur of the moment when the anger hits. then, there's the enjoyment of pure destruction for the sake of destruction. if something no longer serves its function and is going to be thrown away anyway, why not bust it up a bit first? back in my college dorm days, the hallway was the designated destruction area for any broken furniture or appliances (along with a few things that weren't broke until our drunk-asses got to them, but oh well). and then there was that period when i bought like 4 playstations that broke within the first couple months, so we got all liquored up and threw them off a bridge onto the deserted street below. yes, danger of arrest, but we were young and rebellious and drunk, and we made good and sure there was nobody down there at risk... also, it feels nice to break records, i've only done that a couple times though...
