Is there any way to stop or curb the munchies?

    Over the past year I've lost almost 40 pounds and I plan on losing more. I've always been overweight, so it's important for my health and well-being. I smoke pot about once or twice a week and I have enormous munchies. I easily eat double the amount of calories than I do when I don't smoke. This really doesn't help my new eating habits, but I don't want to quit pot. Ganja really helps to even out my bipolar disorder and takes away my anxiety, so I need that one or two days a week. Can anyone help me deal with these terrible munchies? Any suggestions? Thanks!

    eat healthy munchies or eat before you smoke and i find that im not so hungry that way.

    Useually when I eat before getting stoned, I still get the munchies afterwards so I'd say, yeah just eat healthy food like fruites vegetables etc...

    or just eat healthy.

    you can have a burger nd still eat healthy. veggie burgers are wicked.

    Apples my friend eat about one or two before smoke if you get the munchies still eat more apples they dont gona get you fat cos they have about of 100cal per aple BUT they accelerate your metabolism making your peristaltics movements faster in other words they make you shit faster absorving less calories from then as well as the stuff alredy in your intestine and always chew the seeds pal thats the secret.just stop chewing the seeds if you start to have diarrea but that would take more than 8 apples a day so chew up!

    Just make no food available to you, and entertain yourself so you don't think about food.

    yesterday after i smoked at 7pm i ate:

    a full king sized starburst pack, 2 gordita's and 2 taquitos, 4 chewy bars, a chocolate bar, 2 blueberry muffins(fukin boommbb), 2 bananas, a bowl of cereal and 2 bowls of ice cream sundae's. all in about 2 hours or so. but keep in mind i weigh 127 pounds. god i love the miracle's of marijuana.

    Self-control. I just tell myself "you are high, if you weren't you wouldn't be hungry" and ignore the eating effects from it.

    i would suggest healthy food. maybe vegetables or fruit. it's what i eat when i get the munchies... but im vegan anyways so eh... it can't be worse than chips and soda and hamburgers and cookies like people usually go for when they have the munchies.

    Damn man. I am 14 and weigh 155 pounds at 5'11" I believe. I mean I am not fat but man you weigh like nothing.

    i used to weigh 120 at about 5'11'... then i started eating healthy and working out. i was pretty fuckin skinny. i had to hold on to other people when the wind blew.

    try eating hollow foods - ie, protein, complex carbs, vegetables etc.

    and stay away from
    sugar
    refined carbs (like chips)
    fat

    thats if you really wanna care about calories. for some reason many stoners eat a tonne but lose weight instead of gain it.

    so i dunno, whatever. all i know is that it is stupid to say 'just dont think about food' because you cant chose what you think about. you can curb your hunger by smoking cigarettes, drinking lots of coffee, maybe taking some speed.

    but, the best way to fight munchies, ive found, is simply to eat your meal before smoking up, so youre full when you smoke.

    Eat a heavy meal voefore smoking. Eat soemthing healthy, that you can control, but don't spare the grase or potatoes or anything. Smoke. Then eat a healthy snack.

    I like to eat citrus after I smoke. I don't knwo why, but clementines are amazing high.

    lol i know im just a tall skinny mofo. 127 lbs. at 6'0 but my stomach is a bottomless pit when i have the munchies i just dont know where it all goes!

    i dont know about you guys, but one of the reasons i smoke is because food tastes 100x better high. thats just one of the reasons.

    yup, one of the great reasons!

    im around 5'11 and weigh 66-68 kg - umm.. about 150 lb

    and im pretty damn skinny.

    All down to genetics brutha, you probably can't get fat, mebbe a lil chubby. And im with ya on the Blueberry muffins. Fuckin lovely. I don't like chocolate ones much.

    Also, if I eat before smoking I still get hungry again, like some other dude said. If I ever start gettin a lil fat, I stop smoking for like 3-5 days and I'm fine again. My appetite ain't so good after stopping ganja.

    I would suggest drinking more water if you get the munchies quick. That and eating healthier foods/beverages...green tea, apple juice, cranberry juice, etc.
