I don't like winter at all. AT ALL. I only enjoy it because of my birthday and Christmas being right there together.
In Australia I prefer summer to winter. We have a real summer, with beautiful beach weather and lovely warm evenings. In England and Scotland I preferred winter. I liked the snow and the fact that it didn't rain ALL the time, like in summer. I liked the dry, icy chill in the sterile air. I liked how beautiful everything looked when covered in frost. I liked the dead looking forests and the weird colours in the sky. I liked it when the mud froze and you could go walking without getting your boots dirty. It was a good time for me.
Aussie summer's are pretty torrid. Autumn and Winter are the best season’s here. If you ever do plan on coming to Australia, make-sure-it-is-not-in-the-Summer! You will melt in a puddle of your own sweat. I am totally not joking. Last summer I actually did melt into a puddle, while just walking down the street one day. It was terrible. My little brother had to run to one of our neighbors house’s and borrow a mop and bucket off of them to come mop me up off of the pavement. I was soooo embarrassed. My parents decided to store me in the freezer and I had to live off frozen pea’s for about a week. I hate pea’s. There was a penguin in there. We didn't know each other very well so there were awkward pauses. But now everything’s okay, though
It's nice when we get disney land winters, with the crisp clean air and the snow, and the blue skies, they are rare these days. The sound of a crow in an empty graveyard. But let's be realistic here, you probably spent a nice winter in Scotland and got lucky, it's usually pissing with rain, windy or just grey and damp and miserable.
I do. But in Belize there is only a wet and dry season. In winter however it is a lot cooler in the jungle. I like some coolness. When I want to Ski and get on a plane and go somewhere.
troull story? I definitely prefer spring and autumn as well, but summer lasts a long time here and you might as well make the most of it. I just jump in the sea a lot and wear very little clothing. I don't use an air conditioner, so I am always used to the heat. Its such a great time. I love the parties, the barbecues, Christmas, beer, not feeling like old man winter is stealing your soul away, all that stuff! I hate winter here though. Its damp, dreary and insanely boring. At least in the UK people get out and do stuff because its cold all year round anyway.
Its because I lived up in the highlands in the hills near Inverness, it snowed about twice a week. When I lived with my Aunty and Uncle in yorkshire it was dreary and shit, but it was still nicer than summer.
