No, not weird at all. Dildos that vibrate do so at a higher speed with less strength than do massagers. Massagers tend to pulse slower but harder. I agree with ihmurria, it was probably to strong for your sensitive clit. I have an adjustable rabbit vibe that I use for just my clit, so I can speed up or slow down to my immediate needs. If you're interested in using a vibe, buy a cheap one to experiment with first. Vibration may not be your thing. I don't like it all the time, and I use just my hands/fingers 90% of the time.
