well its a nice film well worth watching especially for non muslims who are trying to understand the more than thousand years of islamic violence and oppression directed against them. you have one view of islam and mohammed I have a totally different view , but then again you can find hundreds of cults where people think their cult leader is great and people outside the cult think the cult leaders mighty ropey . your welcome to start threads directing people to films that show what a nice guy mohammed was how he would cut his cloak rather than wake sleeping kittens
well did you watch the film it has blair bush and clinton saying what a great religion islam is,and how its misunderstood and peaceful . Sadly it doesnt have george bernhard shaw saying that old mo was a great guy which it seems is something very popular with muslims, but we shall take it as a given that george bernhard shaw thought mohammed was a great guy too shall we. Ok it has some other people including former muslims who disagree with bush and blair and george bernhard shaw but you have to make your mind up whose right looking at the evidence
Well here's how the West feel about Islam... I don't think we care either way about the religion. If you're a Muslim cool, whatever dude. Blair and Bush saying its a great religion and all, well its so nice you've got cheer leaders but all that is for appeasing Muslims. What the West don't like (I'm from the UK so OK I can only comment on us) is that you're more than welcome to your religion, but it's people are cultrally and politically led by their religion so when Muslim communities grow in the UK it creates a devide between them and the culture of the country they live in. Eventually some Muslims feel segregated and outcast and in worst case senario empathise with terrorists, and then take that extra step to join those extremists who do not represent but use Islam for those nasty ways. I don't need to be preached at, nor do I need to have knowledge of or care about your religion, much like Budism, Taoism and indeed my own. I am though thoroughly against Muslims having Shiah (sp?) law in my country. As with UK expats in other countries who indulge in their own culture but have no desire to changle laws and make influences in the wider communities (ok don't mention the British Empire), Muslims should do the same in the UK no matter how many generations along they are.

islam, in practice, is quite the opposite of peaceful, at least when compared to other major faiths. you can say all you want about the true meaning of islam etc. but that doesn't make all of the violence committed by its' followers go away. no offense, but to me a religion that reacts the way islam did to any perceived slight (burning down embassies in retaliation for the image of Muhammad? WTF?!!) and tells it's people how to dress, how to eat, how to go to the bathroom, and to not touch certain "unclean" animals represents all that sucks about organized religion. can't y'all just chillax?
