It seems being addicted to opiates have ruined my ability to enjoy other drugs.

It's pretty much all there in the title.

What are your thoughts? I don't want to go into too much detail, but this seems to be the case.

No. I used to enjoy cocaine a lot right. For the last year and a half I've enjoyed pills. I got some yay recently, and I could tell it was good shit. It didn't give me the euphoria I used to like though. Yet the next day I took a couple of vicoden and I had a much better time.

I'm sure it has something to do with my like of narcotics now.

I was legit addicted to coke too. I guess in a battle pills win.

Alcohol is the actual winner though.

Maybe opiates are your drug of choice and everything else pales in comparison? Even if the high itself decreases with tolerance, your desire to seek the high/use your money to score opiates could make other drugs seem like a waste of time. Or there could be a legitimate biological reason for it.

I've done opiates daily for three years now and still love other drugs, mainly uppers and MDxx types. Just me.

I smoked marijuana before I was addicted to opiates, it use to be the best thing in the world to smoke a blunt with my buddys. Now if I smoke I have to be with only people I am very close with. The high isn't nearly a's strong and I get very paranoid with the slightest change in events. I feel your pain man.

yeah i agree with Codone in that its just your drug of choice. i never tried an opiate until i got scripted, and when i felt that first warm rush, i fell in love with them. they're by far my drug of choice.

I think it is just the fact that opioids really are the best class of euphoric drugs available, and now you just have better tastes. I only will use opioids, stimulants (only dopaminergics like Ritalin and Amphetamine/Adderall), and occasionally psychedelics. I have no problems with that though. It is better for my health and my mind IMO. I feel like a much better person since giving up alcohol and even occasional Cannabis use.

what sucks for me is I MUST have at least a few Oxy on hand before I get my sniff on or take nearly any other drug as Oxycodone is like a gift from the gods as it removes any and all comedowns from every drug..Either that or its just my metabolism.. E, Sniff, Speed, Meth ANYTHING.. rail a few 'dones and im back to base level normality after 25 minutes.

See. You should look at this as a good thing, though. Don't think "Oh Shit. Gotta take my Oxy." Think "This high is going to be even BETTER since I'll have the combined glory of the Oxy with the uplifting properties of the stimulant." That is what I do, at least. I guess it all comes in time (of being addicted to opioids that is...)

Let me ask you, when you use adderall, how much do you use and whats your ROA. Do you currently use it with your Subs?

I no longer use Adderall, as I became increasingly disturbed by how much it increased my blood pressure. So, about three months ago, my doctor switched me (it was my idea haha) to an equivalent dose of Ritalin (Methylphenidate). However, I took Adderall with my Suboxone for over 4 months.

I would usually take about 30mg of Adderall per day (all the IR form- 10mg 3 times a day) with 4-6mg of Suboxone. I would generally take 2 of the 3 pills orally, and the last one intranasally.

On days when I felt the desire to take more, I would take up to 70mg in one day, and sometimes 50mg out of the 70mg was intransal. I preferred insufflation for a powerful "jolt", but I preferred the oral administration for simply feeling good and getting things done. It worked very nicely with Suboxone.

I now take about 70mg of Methylphenidate per day, but only 20mg of that is intranasal. I prefer the intranasal effects of MPH over that of Adderall, which was much more jittery. I am pleased with the switch. Interestingly, I had to raise my Bupe dose to 8mg per day, but that could just be a tolerance issue. I am really not sure.

    Probably just drug of choice.

I'm not into opiates really but assuming money is not an issue, what you are suggesting seems kind of rare. It makes sense with the same class of drugs, for instance once one discovers oxycontin or Heroin, vicodin may no longer be desirable but I dunno about different types of drug classes. I've heard heroin and opiate users having a high rate of being poly drug users.

I've only done oxycontin once, percs a few times and vicodin a handful of times, I don't find opiates nearly as euphoric or interesting as Ecstasy, Mephedrone, 2cb, Ketamine. I never really found coke all that interesting though either so I dunno, maybe slightly moreso than vicodin.

I'm currently having the very same problem every time I try and purchase different drugs other then opiates I just don't seem to enjoy them cannabis used to be in my daily routine now I would prefer a £10 of heroin in a needle then a quiet relaxing smoke.

I enjoyed coke from 2002-2004 regularly I've been doing oxy's for the last year or so. I got a hold of some coke that numbed my fuckin face, but it didn't give me that... I don't know. I think it has something to do with the opiates.

Also to add to the discussion, I still enjoy (quite thoroughly) stimulant highs, like pharmaceutical Ritalin and Adderall. The opioids never took away their 'magic' IMO. However, pretty much every other drug is boring (except the psychedelics which I only use about once every other month) now. However, I consider it simply like a person who tastes fine Scotch when they are used to crappy blended whiskeys.
