Several things will happen, but the big thing is a massive reduction in the population within the next 5-10 years by way of manufactured events, be it freak weather events, outbreaks, famine, or a combination of the aforementioned. I foresee a massive cyber attack and the potential collapse of the power grid (by design, of course). That alone would cause a massive amount of deaths in a short period of time.
