I just couldn't think of a title to convey how disgusted I am with this...

    http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/10/19/spain.us.soldiers/index.html

I realize it's war, and that there are going to be unintended casualties, but the CNN associates said that no fire was coming from the building the cameraman was filming from. That is soooooome bullshit.

why is that? It's not like it's Iraq or a hostile nation demanding the soldiers be turned over.

If american journalists were killed due to the wrecklessness of another nation's troops can you imagine how pissed off we'd be?

Why do people think its so absurd to think that a soldier or soldiers would kill a journalist, many of the soldiers are good people, but some of them are bush worshipping pawns who think that journalists have destroyed their and bush's credibility by questioning this war and some of them probably would want to see some journalists dead, also if they had commited an act against the geneva convention and a journalist saw they would probably want to kill them.

i fully support the US's goals in helping iraq become/maintain their democracy. Are you saying that you want to see iraq fail and turn into a bloody civil war?

I dont, however, see how that relates to me 'supporting the rape and murder of any country that doesn't suck america's dick."

What's happening in Iraq already is a civil war.

What right does America have to "spread" democracy when it itself isn't truely democratic?

And it fully relates to what I said earlier - America isn't attempting to take out any other vicious leaders, and there's many, a few worse than even Saddam.

I think this story is assanine. If you're a journalist you accept the risks of the front line. He knew full well what he was getting into, personal denial or not. I don't agree with the war, but I do agree with personal repsonability!
I sure as hell would not be in Iraq right now if I wanted to live more so than to die! This is a total and completely bunch of international scape-goating.

but wait, you said i support the murder and torture of those countries...yet we arent doing it?

Democracy has to come from the people. We can push for it and help it, but it has to come from the iraqis. The iraqis have been defying terrorists and going out and voting.

    i didn't say that.

and in the case of Iraq, it hasn't.

then why fight in the first place????

yep yep, even the souls of the dead ones have been voting, and that wasn't a joke.
