Why do people celebrate famous peoples birthdays and deathdays. Just seems kind of weird.

Its just homage to someone that was important to us (induvidually and collectively).
They left a mark on this world, and we're just recognizing that.

,,Celebrate" in my case is just transferred meaning how to say that I´m delighted so much everytime when I heard something (or somebody) who is very close to my soul.

I meant celebrating both. Like people just wanting a reason to celebrate often. Ill hear people one day saying oh ya its john lennons birthday, then a few months later and it's oh john lennon died today. If it was a loved one sure, but i dont understand how people can be so obsessed over famous peoples births and deaths. Thats why the bible sucks so much.

I don´t know. Maybe from reason that they peruse their lives into the deep and get a lot their influential moments or life´s milestones.
