untill I get my cast off in four weeks. I've been tripping over it but a parent at work who's also a personal trainer has offered to help me 4 days a week as a thank you and said that losing it working out 4 days for two hours each time should have the weight off in about 6 weeks. I think its better to not stress over it anymore as i eat in moderate amounts but just never realized how active i was. Is it bad to just not stress over it for another month and work hard to get it off after i get my cast off? I'm prob like a good 25 pounds over weight right now, which isn't much but my hesitation stems from me being very heavy a couple of years ago and not wanting to go down that road again. This is what my doctor suggested but im hesitant to let myself go but i know if i dont im not going to get the proper nutrition to heal my arm.
I don't know anything about losing weight, but if you want a second opinion on that, maybe you should talk to a nutritionist and see that he\she thinks.
I was a little like you, when i was pregnant i couldnt excercise for 4 months because of a joint problem, and i felt so worried about putting on weight, cos id just got rid of 2 stone. You can ensure you minimise your weight gain and will lose weight healthily afterwards by making the changes in your diet now, i dont know your background, but if it was me in your shoes, id not worry about the excercise for the next four weeks, as you will need energy to heal your arm, that said dont let your diet get unhealthy cos your not exercising, eat plenty of fresh veg, whatever protien you eat (poultry, fish(oily eg salmon and non-oily, cod/haddock) mushroons, soya, a little but not too much red meat, and limited bread products, plain rice (basmati rice is a healthier alternative, and is low GI, can help banish sugar cravings.) you will be fine, that method doesnt work quickly but it is safest, gives you all your vitamins ect and the weight usually stays off, if you stick to it, you can still eat treats, but as few as you can manage. Also remember that in four weeks your ftness levels will go down and you will lose some muscle tone. DONT work too hard for the first three weeks or so as you can hurt yourself, but if you build it up gradually you'll be fine hun. hope that helps.xxx
Why let youself get fatter? All it will do is make you have to work even harder when you do get your cast off. I'd focus on eating especially healthy right now. It'll help you heal and it'll give you a head start on your future exercise program.
no im not pregnant ive just been under doctors orders to sit on my ass all the time and its making me gain weight and the only thing i can do about it is to change my eating habits but its too hard at work...and on the weekends i mean what ya gonna do? id rather just not trip and if i make it a choice not to worry about it i wont worry about it...i mean really how fat can ya get in four weeks anyway?
Well aren't you going to have to change your eating habits anyway when you start working out with your personal trainer?
well did you see super size me? lol Seriously though if you really try to eat healthy it will be ok. You say it will be too hard, but you should be eating healthier than it sounds like you are anyway.
no i have hypoglycemia and other past issues i cant diet. i juice fast once in awhile but thats just for my mental clarity
