the other day i was walking along the road, just quietly minding my own buisness when i rounded the corner and saw the most amazing live-in vehicle ever!! it was a mercedes 308D flatbed truck with a caravan mounted on the flat bed. it looked cool as fuck, kinda like a big scary monster! it got me thinking....i really dont enjoy towing all that much. i do it coz i have too, coz i dont like to stay in one place, but i would enjoy travelling much more if i didnt have to tow. i dont want to get rid of my caravan coz i love it and this seemed like the perfect soloution. i had a good long think about it, looked around at all the possible vehicles and decided that was it. my heart was set on a mercedes 308D flatbed. so, i get on to ebay and what do i find with in my price range...... a mercedes 308D flatbed truck!!! *loud fanfares etc!* i emailed the guy, and the dimensions of the flatbed were exactly the same as the dimensions for my caravan, plus a little extra on the end to store my gas bottles. i decided that, seeing as i had found exactly what i wanted on the exact day that i decided i wanted it, it that it was just meant to be! so based on gut reaction, a tendancy to do crazy spontaneous things and a wild gambling streak i have just bidded on a truck i have never seen and won it. wish me all the luck in the world!!!!! peace and love stardust xxx

i dont think it will make it as far as the carribean somehow. the bastard didnt even make it as far as somerset, i had to get a tow truck!! it's got more problems than the ebay ad lead me to believe, but they are only minor and fairly easily solvable. it starts well, sounds lovely, isnt so rusty that bits fall off but most importantly it was exactly what i was looking for, (except for the brake problem which required me to catch the tow truck home.) will keep you updated with piccies and adventures! peace and love stardust xxx p.s. the new truck is called munchkin!
