Mescaline is amazing. Are you planning on eating or consuming a mescaline containing cactus? I've only had San pedro, Its more chill than mushrooms or LSD. I recommend taking it during the day, somewhere in nature at least for some of it, maybe bring an iPod or portable cd player. Things look so vibrant and radiant on mescaline but besides size nothing looks all distorted and runny like LSD and your head is alot more lucid and less cloudy than mushrooms. Sex is amazing on it as well. The closed eye visions are among the best!

 

mescaline is amazing. one of the top 5 psychadelics excluding weed imo.

daytripping is the only way to do mescaline. go outside and walk on a nice trail, enjoy the beauty of clouds, the flowers, the wind waving in the grass and everyhing else mother nature has provided. like nike says man..JUST DO IT! you will not be disappointed

Absolutely! I prefer it to mushrooms in many ways. The effects last much longer and are far less debilitating IMO. The euphoria/chillness are similar to MDMA due to mescaline being in the same class (phenethylamine). Also, if you peruse Erowid trip reports, you'll find that there are far fewer "bad trips," "health problems" and "difficult experiences" than most other psychedelics.

Of course there are drawbacks, too. Mescaline cacti are notoriously difficult to prepare and consume. For this reason, the effects are often too "mild" for many experienced trippers. Potency of plants varies greatly, and nausea is apparently a common problem, though I've never personally had any.

The verdict? Yes. It is similar in many respects to LSD and shrooms, but different enough that you should give it a try. Many find that it's their favorite psychedelic.

 

I'd say the biggest practical differences are nausea and duration. It will last a little longer than LSD...maybe 12 hours. That's one of the reasons (I think) a day trip is good...it will last into the night anyway. The nausea has never been really bad for me, but it's a good idea to at least have some place to lie down in the beginning (first hour of so) and maybe have a plan to puke in case you need to. (I wouldn't take it and go into a concert of something right after.)

When you make tea or consume the cactus some other way, it make me euphoric too. One time I made tar with a alcohol extraction and it didn't seem to have as much euphoria, but who knows....

Do cacti grow as ornamental plants where you live? If so just visit the local hardware/nursery store and look for some San Pedro. You can find methods for consuming it in the forums. Or you can order cuttings online as well.

 

I wouldnt take cacti for the first time at a show .

I'm kind of in the same boat as the original poster for this thread. I've done shrooms, DMT, and salvia D, and acid but never mescaline, (pure mescaline anyway) and want to try it. I've done its synthetic counterpart however, the infamous 2c-b. That shit is crazy amazing!

 

2cb is not synthetic mescaline.

3,4,5 trimethoxyphenethylamine is mescaline's chemical structure.

 

2cb was nothing like my mescaline experiences.

 

i found my singular mescaline acetate experience to be unique and different from all other psychedelics, including peyote and San Pedro resin in the 14 grams range . . .

Mescaline, for me, was a powerfully visionary entheogen. Incredibly medicinal. i intend to try to take it at least once (& perhaps twice) a year from here on out . . .

i would recommend it to anyone who identifies as a psychonaut . . .

Do whatever is in accordance to your own inner wisdom. The only advice I would give (from a rather lengthy relationship with mescaline) is....

NATURE, FAVOURITE MUSIC, WATER, CHOCOLATE, HERB

Persoanlly, nothing has come as close as mescaline has for pure music lushness. First time I had San Pedro my friend and I pulled his PA outside and into the bush, lay down between the speakers, and stayed there for 2 days listening to oldskool Jungle records (with the occasional topup of Meth).

Also, what preparation were you thinking of consuming? I prefer the plant derivatives as opposed to the synth stuff, and now days the only form I take is San Pedro which has been picked and immediately put through a juicer. Nice fresh juice is a great way to go. Peyote is beautiful, but something maybe considered after youve tried other alternatives. Always great when taken with someone expreinced/in a circle etc.
