For some of us when we die all types of people will mourn our passing, for others only select friends. Doesn't much matter we all die at somepoint. Never a fan of Jesse Helms, but he has to face his maker now not me.
What can I say, I'm glad he's gone. Is there some irony in him dying on July 4th? Goodbye Jesse Helms. Today there's one less dick in the world.
There hasn't been very much reaction to this thread. Perhaps that's a good thing, indicating that he's been largely forgotten. He deserves to be relegated to obscurity, a minor footnote in history.
It's a good sign. Here's what Mother Jones had to say about him http://www.motherjones.com/news/feature/1995/05/bates.html
