Hi there, I'm a Jimi Hendrix fan and I want to compete my Jimi Hendrix Woodstock collection. If you take a look a this page you can see there's a lot missing from the 2 cd's. Can someone help me recover these songs? I'll be looking over at e-bay's for some cd's mentioned on the site. Yeah I think they left some songs out on the DVD(or maybe the rest got destroyed),cause on the cd live @ woodstock theres more songs.I don't think "Spanish Castle Magic" is on the DVD along with others...
They did, and they did it good. I saw this jimi hendrix at woodstock video. And everything is just totally wild. There are songs that should be at the end, but start, songs deleted, songs where solo's are gone there are some extra bits added. And I didn't saw it, it all went soooo smoothly, but after reading the guide, I started to notice. I believe you can hear " get your heart back together" on the beginning and the end. While "fire" is the 12th song played, it is first on the DVD. Next is is Izabella then red house, jam back in the house. Next up is Voodoo child with Jimi saying goodby already, the voodoo child merges with a message of love. After that you have the Star Spangled Banner and Purple Haze followed by Villanova junction and then the end with "get your hear back together" (I believe) Of course I assume that the official set-list displayed above is set-up in the right order. But that wouldn't even matter since the DVD misses a loooot of songs and a loooot of parts that simply were errased or skipped. This is for the DVD. The same goes for the CD as displayed in the previous post. If you want the complete concert you'll have to buy quite some CD's. You'll have to look for bootlegs, which will be quite hard to find. You'll have to buy some DVD's. Not that it bothers me to buy a lot of CD's, but on most CD's you'll find the same songs and that's a bit like buying the same album twice. Can't they just put the whole concert on one CD. You know people will buy it! So I'd like to collect it all and I hope you guys can help It'd be nice if we had all of it and then the people who wanted the complete concert could hear the complete concert instead of all these edited versions
