I am looking to get into the performing arts/etc business, however im not an artist myself. Anyone know of any good entry level positions with magazines, event production companies, record labels, online websites, or other organizations that are looking for passionate people about the arts, and culture of a city such as myself?...the thing is, i dont have much exp other than some street teaming so its impossible to find somethin...but if anyone can point me in the right direction, i would be forever in your gratitude! best, cody
I can't really help as far as finding a job, but if you're interested and truly passionate about doing something business-related with the arts, don't rule out trying to put something together yourself. Sometimes the best thing to do is to start your own record label/website/event production company, etc, though obviously you would want to learn as much about the business as possible to make sure you have something that might work before investing vast amounts time and money into a project. There are a lot of artists and creative types out there, but not a lot who are business-savvy enough to create something that can make money and hopefully spread the art even further. I'd like to see more of that.
