How can we possibly get jobs and feel okay about it? I mean, if I go for a job and get it, doesn't that deprive someone else of a job? I am competing against other people and making them sad and I don't want to do that. The world isn't any different if I get the job or someone else does, and I would rather make someone else happy than me happy. But then I think that if they are like me, then they won't be happier with the job, because compassion is more important. It's a dilemma. Hmm.
That's the most pussy thing I've ever heard. If you want to be compassionate, get a job helping people. Take two of these and call me tomorrow. http://www.isteroids.com/
But what's the difference if I get that job or someone else does? I mean, picture this scenario: a tree on a hill with a single apple on it. Ten people are hungry and want the apple. What's the difference if I eat it or someone else does? There will still be nine hungry people.
I dont want to look after myself, I want to look after others. Jobs aren't unlimited, there will always be unemployment, even the best countries have 5% unemployment. Work is simply the act of altering the position of matter upon the earth's surface, I don't do it for that reason or for money.
If you wanted to look after others, you would find a way to create work for others. Or you would find a way to support yourself helping others. http://www.peacecorps.gov/
hahahaha That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard. You're just making excuses so you feel better about being too lazy to work.
That could be true of someone posting the same thing I did and someone in your position having the information you do, but in my case it's not. I do want to work, it's just these things trouble me. If there was a job I was going for in which I didn't have any competitors for the position I would have no problems taking it, because no one else wants it. But what about when I am competing - if I get the job what happens to them? After all, they all want it as much as I do. By the way you cannot create jobs out of nothing. People with money create jobs to have work done (shifting matter across the face of the earth). People who need money do work. That's how it is.
You cant really know whether the other people want it as much as you do. They may hate the very idea of it, but for any number of reasons may be having to go for it against their better judgement. In the long run, you may actually be doing them a favour by getting it ahead of them. Conversely, by not competing for it you may be causing them damage, psychological or otherwise.
How do you starve a hippie to death? Hide his food stamps in his work boots. Why do all the hippies want to move to Oregon? Because there's no jobs. How can you tell the difference between the dogs & the hippies lying around the camp fire? The dogs get up the first time you kick them.
It's simple. You take the job and give these people who you stole it from all the money. Trust me, they would appreciate you, and they certainly wouldn't want the job anymore.
